First of all: great stuff, I've been looking a long time for a plugin like this

I have one problem (not caused by the plugin, but by windows I think).

I've been looking for a way to disable auto-detection of displays connected through HDMI in Win7 but did not find any.
My HTPC is connected to a 7" touchscreen and a TV (last one connected through HDMI). Everytime I shut the TV down, the PC rearranges everything on the desktop, programs stop running --> I want to avoid this and let the pc believe that both displays run all the time.
Anyone any ideas?

I´m using a MIMO 720-F-Touch-USB-Screen in my front of Silverstone Case.

So heres my question because im not very skilled in programming things:
With my resolution of 800x480 (which can not be changed because its fixed in USB-only-screen) all of the nice skins are cutted off,
so you cant see the whole screen and some touch fields. I tried "manual configuration" with my current 800x480 resolution and also "Automatic", but nothing changes.
Does this work automatically on later releases or must i config this things by my self? If so, where do i change the "size" settings exactly?

I have the same problem. Searched a lot months ago, but I found no solution except to buy an hdmi extender.

Normaly the screen resolutions are set correct and everything is shown on the Display. I don't know if there could be a problem with USB- Displays and such resolutions.
Here testet resolutions are working fine (800x600 - 1280x720 with vga-connected Display), smaler I haven't tested until now. I'll try after work with this resolution if possible. (In Version 0.5.0, not earlier!)

no Problem here with 800x480 (VGA, not USB but i think that doesn't matter).
Try to check correct settings in C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\MPDisplay2\mpdisplay2.xml (open with editor)
These Settings (with Light-Skin) work fine for me:

Hi hasengrube,

i verified my mpdisplay2.xml with yours and the settings were all exact the same in my current using "light skin".
I attached two screenshots so you can watch what is been seen on USB-Screen. It seems that some of the right side is cutted off. The rest seems to be good i think. Maybe a little "shrink" to the left side may help

My main tv is a samsung rear projection television running at ancient eyespoppingout 720x576 resolution (looking forward the day i can cut this tv into tiny peaces )
Therefore the USB-Screen screenshot is bigger than the TV´s, so that noones wondering why it looks kind of strange.

I dont know whats the disturbing difference, in my case, between USB and usual VGA(DVI) with the exeption that the USB device has its own graphics card integrated so the resolution is fixed and can not be changed.

I´d very glad about every hint to solve this "resolution" problem.
Maybe Wondermusic has some further options for me or and can change something high technical deep inside the code of MPDisplay...

sorry to say, but this is not my job. sa_ddam is coding the plugin, I'm just making the skin files.
Only thing I can do is, to make your prefered Skin compatible to your used resolution (writing it completely new).

Or you can make it by yourself. You just need a graphics program where you can see the coordinates of the used gfx and a program like notepad++. So you just have to change the coordinates in the Skin xmls.

Unfortunetly my skill in is not good enough for making this. It was already hard for me to get the rig running at all.
I´m sure that you have enough work to do with finishing this wonderfull plugin, but if you have a little time left maybe you can create
a "sample skin" with the PureVisionHD skin so i and other users have a basic skin-file to compare. I´ve seen that milka in forum here has a Samsung U70, which is a USB-only device too with same silly 800x480 resolution. Im sure more user will have this USB screens in future because they are very thin and exellent to build in case.

So if you can spend some time on it, only if you have left for sure, it would make me really really happy

What do you mean with simple skin? There is already on for PureVisionHD.You will find it on our Site: MP Display 2

So should it be enougth to change the xml's for you.

I have written "sample" not "simple". A sample of PureVisionHD with 800x480 resolution to understand the changes...
