Not in the slightest... Im just writing a log into the plugin... So hopefull that will give me some idea...
Im assuming it was a missing file that caused the error.... So have included a few more dependencies in the archive this time. But logging has been added so I can see where the error is ocurring...
Have tried 30 times to Add a platform but never been able to complete before it hangs.
One problem is then choosing Rom dir or Platform logo that has a folder in the folder you choose it hangs.
When pressing Add platform it always hangs.
It would be great if you make it remember the last folder when adding Emulator dir, Rom dir and platform dir.
This site could help a bit. I found it somewhere, another forum I think but I can't remember exactly. Sorry if someone's already posted it, I'll admit I haven't read this whole thread from start to finish.
Really want to see this plugin take off. It sounds like just what I've been looking for! I'll read the whole thread in the morning but it's stupid-o-clock at the moment and I'm tired.
Firstly: Glad you seem to be making very good progress
I downloaded the pack etc and ran it in its own folder for testing.
I am also having problems, but obviously this is just testing phase.
I couldn't add a platform either. So i went onto adding Xpadder.exe location and its default profile. Saved the Database at each add.
I then added a PC game in the pc games tab. It seemed to add everything ok. I then tried to run the game to see if 1:the correct Xpadder profile was called & 2:that the game actually works.
I just got errors saying that the game could NOT be run. I wondered if it was maybe a problem launching that particular game (assassins creed). It launches ok on its own, ie from the shortcut on the desktop or from clicking the executable in the games actual installed files.
I tried adding a different game. Same thing?
I then got booted of the media center as the wifey n kids wanted to watch labarynth lol.
I will do some more testing with emulators tonight
