Can someone check the logs and take a look at the time (exact time with seconds) when you awake your system.
    [/SIZE]

I gave this a try and I get 2008-10-11 19:22:41 as the first entry in Windows and your app logs:
    2008-10-11 19:22:43 - Info PowerEvent: ResumeAutomatic

Thanks, but this is not what i wanted to have.

    Do as follows:
    - put the system to suspend
    - wait until it is really suspended
    - wake it up and LOOK QUICK AT THE CURRENT TIME for example at the windows watch in the lower right system tray ( you will need to open it of course to get the seconds - better open it before suspend, then you can this immediatly) -> THIS IS THE FIRST TIMESTAMP I NEED
    - take a look at the service log file - there i need the time of first entry after resume -> THIS IS THE SECOND TIMESTAMP I NEED

    Can you do this?

Here is my log, hope it helps.

    Edit..
I just tried it and the fastest I could get to to see the clock was 20:33:13.
The first entry in the log was at 20:33:11

    Fine, thank you.
It seems that it reacts very fast on your machine, as it should be. :)

I have the suspend jobs set to close MP and end TvS.
I have noticed that when my system enters standby TvS is still in the process of closing.
This has the effect of it continuing to close when the system resumes.

Now, I have the resume jobs set to start TvS which obviously is a problem because TvS is still ending.
I have set a start delay of 30s on the resume job but it still seems less than ideal and I am still getting unreliable results (probably due to my Nova T-500).

As you can see I am using For The Record which also can affect standby.

I would of thought that if there is a task set to happen on suspend then the system would have been prevented from entering standby until it is completed.

The attached logs show this I hope.

    Comments ?

Looking at the same problem as above this morning (new logs) it does not appear standby handler is doing anything at all.
All is fine when tested from the gui.

the restart MP after resume is optional, just added it for test purposes :)

This may also apply to other TVCards, but experiment with any delays.

Thanks to josch.hh for this great little application.

    Regards

    Thanks for the reply.

First I should say I am running Beta07, I think this is what you are using from the screen shots.
I am not using the power scheduler plugin for TvS, This is because :
    a. I thought it was not necessary with MP Standby Handler.
    b. For The Record recommends turning it off.

I am quite sure now that there is no attempt by MP Standby Handler to stop TvS even though it is configured to.

Just updated as using MPSH2 beta

    b. For The Record recommends turning it off.

Not sure how that would behave with TVServers, as you have taken away the recording control function.

Without 4TheRecord being used does it work then.
