I presume you mean you are on Beta07 ?

I hope you are not right about 4TR otherwise this is a non starter for me.
System standby is being handled by windows, I should say I am using Vista SP1.

I may try this without 4TR but there is no way I am getting rid of 4TR. It's the best.

Without installing 4therecord and retesting i do not know how this may effect standby, i'm also on vista and xp (dualboot).

Going to update my XP installation to RC3 this weekend, so might try installing 4therecord to see if it makes any difference to josch.hh's app, as i said to Dot-i, wish this was better incorporated into MP itself, because i agree its a fantastic application, its just the access to Live TV I objected too, this may of changed, because its at least 3 months since i last tried it.

Looking at the same problem as above this morning (new logs) it does not appear standby handler is doing anything at all.
All is fine when tested from the gui.

Plz, send me the contents of the following file if it exists:
    "C:\ProgramData\MPstandbyHandler\Flags.xml"

Thank you josch.hh... This is an awesome application and is just the thing I've been looking for. I was using 0.2.3.0 for ages with PVR scheduler but now I've upgraded to RC3 I've not been able to make it work.

Thank you PD for putting the pics up of your configuration. I was struggling to set mine up to start with but it's now working perfectly.

    Great work guys

OK, anyway, if you have similar problems in the future then plz delete the "Flag" files in this directory -> the app will recreate them.
    i.a. Flags-Service.xml and Flags-User.xml

Plz delete the old "Flags.xml" also.

Hi josch.hh Thanks for this excellent tool It is much appreciated

The issue I have is ild like to stop tvservice before standby but it dosn't have enough time to complete this before the computer switches off, on resume it tries to complete the onsuspend tasks but then dosn't start the onresume tasks. When running hybrid sleep theres is enough time but im concerned that if tvserver takes a while to shut down (or be killed) it will turn itself off and have this problem aswell (and thats usually when the WAF is the one to turn it on next lol) meaning MP stats with no TVservice every now and again. Is there a way to delay vistas standby time taken or somthing like that?

    Im running
    Vista 32 SP1
MP RC3 with Powerschduler enabled (not using reinit tuner)
    MPstandbyhandler Beta 08

    Hi Josch.hh

First of all, thanks from me too for a tool that allows me to run RC3 with sleep/resume on my system. I did however notice that it does not work always.
I have setup my HTPC to reboot every morning at 5am and there is a scheduled recording (for which it needs to wake from sleep / S3) at 7:50am. The pre-record time is set to 3 minutes and the the pre-wakeup time to 90 seconds.
I have attached the logs text from the "service log" tab; if there is anything else you need in order to find out why it failed this morning, just let me know and I can provide anything you might need.
