I have some questions too.
I'm testing at the moment Windows7 and recongnized, that the MPSHUser isn't working. After some seconds there is an error occuring, but no details (MPSHUser doesn't work anymore, searching for solutions...).
So do I really need MPSHUser or is it an alternative for the Service?
Does anybody else gets this error on Window7, or is it my config of Windows7?
If it's a bug, is there any fix?
Should I take the Standby-key in MP or could I take the one in Windows?

Thanks a lot, Josh.hh. This util made me stay on Mediaportal because I had a lot of problem with suspend/resume. Now I can even restart the eHome infrared driver that used to be another problem with my remote, it starts jumping around sometimes.
Since I have installed MPStandbyHandler I have a full working HTPC!

You only need the "user" exe if you want to restart MP itself.

Really like this plugin/application. I had an issue where my PC was restarting on hibernation, only after I had watched TV/video through mediaportal. Just installing this has fixed the issue.

not having alot of joy with this.
Intermitently Media portal is not killed.
On Resume, Mediaportal is not strarted and A .Bat file I have setup under command (for WOL) does not execute.
I tried the TEST button and it resumes mediaportal but does not run the command
Any advice, thanks

I have noticed the same for me lately. Sometimes MP is not killed, and sometimes its not starting. And sometimes MP hangs at resume when its starting. Is it the new version or what? I think my problem started after I installed Vista SP2.

gotta little problem, as you can see on my screenshot. I cannot choose any hardware device to restart, cause the field is empty. I can't even write something in there.
What's your advice? My sys specs can be seen under "my system".
