MPTouch - Mediaportal TouchScreen Plugin (1 Viewer)

My graphic card is a new ATI Radeon HD5450.
Thought that should be enough for powering both my HD TV 1080p and a second touchscreen.
And I have SAF 5 installed. ( also tested with SAF 4 ). Windows 7.

I can watch a video in 1080 HD high bitstream without problem.
It's just TV and it's ordinary DVB-T, no HD, but on a TV with 1080p resolution set up.

Your GFX card will run both fine, Not sure what is causing the pixilation.

And just to avoid conclusion about signal strenght:
If you see the signal level it says 40. ( normaly 49) and that sounds a bit low.
But if I install earliar version of TV-card driver it would have said 100. ( I've tested it a couple of times)
I don't know why the difference, but no difference visually in my TV picture, or other behavior, between the two driver versions. And my TV say "High level" on signal strenght.

Do you have any plans to make the source code available? It would be great if others could look into the inner workings and offer help and suggestions.

My suspicion is that it's the fact that your screens have different refresh rates, I had a similar issue a while ago but it went away after a new release of MP,Have a look in the forum for this issue as i'm not sure as we have different hardware .

Unfortunately all the source for the current version was lost in a current earthquake.
The first release of the new version should be within 2 weeks, When the plugin is in the beta stage the source code will be available.(When its stable its all yours )

This is not a completely correct statement...I am running both with 0 problems...(I do not use the touchscreen functionality at all, just need MPTouch for the info)...

MPTouch loads on top of the Frontview, so as soon as you quit MediaPortal MPTouch is closed with it and you get Frontview screen...

Hi,

I am using MPTouch V2 with PureVision HD skin. When I am using keyboard or mouse (even touch on screen) everything works nice. Only problem is when I try to use my remote control (bundled with case ThermalTake DH102 and usin iMon) - in MediaPortal´s base menu it works nice, but when I select any submenu, whole application froze and I can use my remote control, it is possible to use only mouse. Can you tell me where mistake is?

Thank you for your reply. I have disabled frontview, but problem persist. I was using original version of MPTouch (not V2) and it worked well, problems are only with V2 version.

Hi,

The animations do not cause the issue, It MPTouch getting all the infomation from MP to display on the touchscreen.
Because 2 programs (MP & MPTouch) are doing the same thing at the same time one has to wait for the other.
This is due to the fact I have to run MPTouch on the main MP thread to be able to get most of the info.
The New version of MPTouch (2 weeks to go ) is absoulutly different so many of the proformance issues of the current MPTouch were taken into account when writing the new version.

Some people here are talking abouw V2 of MPtouch. Well, i can still trace one version. Version 1.0.

Where can I download V2?

sa_ddam is on it. He's writing the code while I'm making the skin.
Beside the Blue3 Standard Skin (in Blue and DarkGrey/Black), there will be an X-Factor and a StreamedMP Skin for MPTouch, followed by a PureVisionHD Skin.

There are still some issues and he's working hard on it to resolve this problems.
It takes a bit longer than the mentioned 2 weeks, but the next release will be more stable and with less bugs than before.
As he said - he had to write the plugin completely new, because the source code of the old plugin was lost while the earthquake.
We hope for your patient to the next release. It's still under development.

Ofcourse i'll by patient, I'm very happy thaht this plugin get's an update..

Is the new version of MPtouch complete different? Or is it the same as before, but than without bugs..
