MPTouch - Mediaportal TouchScreen Plugin (2 Viewers)

MPTouch is great and just what I want.
BUT
I can't use it.
Why ?
When enabled and watching TV ( only then) the picture on my TV get's very pixelated ( big squares).
It's just like the TV signal strenght is weakend.
Every now and then ( very often ) and normaly at a sceen change there is this big squares all over.
This makes watching very annoying.

So, I have to unable MPTouch.
And then TV picture is back to normal again.

Hope next version will fix this.

Sounds like your GFX card is not powerful enough to render two screens at once, Does this only happen watching HD ?
A cheap $40 gfx card for your touchscreen may be a good idea, It doesent have to be a good gfx card, Just need to take the pressure off your main gfx card.

The new version may fix this but I cant say yet.

My graphic card is a new ATI Radeon HD5450.
Thought that should be enough for powering both my HD TV 1080p and a second touchscreen.
And I have SAF 5 installed. ( also tested with SAF 4 ). Windows 7.

I can watch a video in 1080 HD high bitstream without problem.
It's just TV and it's ordinary DVB-T, no HD, but on a TV with 1080p resolution set up.

Hi can someone help me. I have just got a zalman hd160xt plus and I didnt get any software or instructions with it. I have the touch screen working with the latest imon download, I have media portal installed latest version with the streamed skin, when I installed this app for the touch screen it comes up with the basic home for the blue skin but I dont have any touch function? what am I doing wrong?

Do I have to configure media portal in imon in some way? I do have it listed as a program

Ok got the touch function working I had to go into imon manager then utilities then frontview and disable run touch lcd frontview.

I'm the same problem.

I have set the second screen to "extend". If i disable the frontview, it works, but i don't have the info of imon when mediaportal is off.

If i turn on the frontview, the touchs i made in mptouch, goes to the imon's frontview.

What config in imon is needed?

To use MPTouch, you have to run imon, but disable frontview.

Your GFX card will run both fine, Not sure what is causing the pixilation.

Hi,

MPTouch is a replacment for FrontView, You can't run both at the same time. If you want to use frontview see the Imon support thread about Mediaportal support, Apparently they will add support soon 3 years waiting already!!

Hi.

I now understand how to work the plugin.

As I said before, the only bad thing is that when I have mediaportal sttoped, nothing appears on the second screen.

Anyone know of another application that displays information such as does MPTouch, but mediaportal sttoped?

Hi,

The animations do not cause the issue, It MPTouch getting all the infomation from MP to display on the touchscreen.
Because 2 programs (MP & MPTouch) are doing the same thing at the same time one has to wait for the other.
This is due to the fact I have to run MPTouch on the main MP thread to be able to get most of the info.
The New version of MPTouch (2 weeks to go ) is absoulutly different so many of the proformance issues of the current MPTouch were taken into account when writing the new version.
