hi blackburn,
can you please help me. your tool works but if you import bouguets.tv the program import the groups but the groups are empty. there is no channel. do you have a idea? all groups are empty. another program (satchannellist editor) works with the same files good, but this program dont support mediportal.

I have just created a quick fix for this program.

Here you go.

Extract both files and run.

The fix is in the importer.cs file

//Look for the file between "BOUQUET" and "ORDER"
start = line.IndexOf("userbouquet"); // + length Bouquet
stop = line.IndexOf(".tv")+3;

I'm going to implement the functionality to add channels directly from the vhannibal's settings
when no tv channels are present in the MediaPortal DB.
It's first time I work on MediaPortal DB.... Suggestions are welcome.

The difficult seems to be how and what to insert into the media portal database.
In a second time I hope to create a TV-Server plugin.
If someone wanna give an help... he's welcome!

I will report my work in next days.

Thanks a lot Nephelim, I'm from Italy
So, for an external software, that from cecet23 is good. Now I'll try to make a plugin, looking TVServer's sources i think that using original API it's possible to have a better control over channels, groups, tuning details and any other.

Can't find a nice tutorial to start developing a tvserver-plugin. On say to use XmlTvImport.
Another good section to develop from is the ImportExport part of the TV-Server Setup!

Hope to have some results soon...

Edit1: Ok I completed the first stage, but can't understand how to transform into a valid tv-server plugin. I followed every thing in the XmlTvImport plugin... but plugin doesn't show up in the plugin section...
Can't find one tutorial on developing a tv-server plugin...

Hello!

I was trying this program but I only get this error when pressing "export to mediaportal DB" to transfer my Dreambox channel list
"MySql.Data.MySqlClient.MySqlException (0x80004005): Column 'groupName' cannot be null"
Can anyone help fix this pls?
