Installation as follows:

Microsoft SQL Server
TV-Server
Disabled Windows firewall
MP 2.0.0.0
SVN 2006-10-28 1:00
TV-clientplugin

After installation of the TV-server I started TV-setup and scanned for channels.
After finished scanning, edited the channel list and removed channels I dont use.
Then I continued installation of MP and client.
Reboot computer and checked that TV-service was running.
Opened TV-setup and found that the service had found FloppyDTV-s as analog card.(this happens after every reboot.) Tried to stop service in setup, but got a message that tv-service couldnt be stopped. Pressed ok and the same message appear repetedly. Open taskmanager and remove tv-service - restart tv-setup and start tv-service. Now the Floppy is digital again.
Start Mp - open tv and NRK1 is running nice. Change channel to TV2 and get black screen with stutter sound. Change back to NRK1 and picture freezes with no sound. Exit MP
After a pause (breakfast) restarted MP and changed channel from NRK1 to MTV. Took a long time to change, but MTV got up running nicely. Changed to Discovery - no sound or picture.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

TV-service finds tv-card as analog after every reboot.
Changing channels takes some time( around 15 to 20 seconds)
Not all channels work.

Will continue testing this weekend.

At the moment I have HTPC in living-room and 2 clients running MTV.
Looks perfect so far exept timeshifting. TS in MYtv has dissapeard.
Maybe I have missed a setting somwhere.

Setup clients:
Client 1: Intel Celeron 2.3GHz - GF 4200TI - 512MB - CPU usage: 20%
Client 2: Intel P4 3.0GHz - GF6200 - 512Mb - CPU usage: 10%

CPU usage Server: 60%
Network usage server: 10%

All clients are running MP in window mode.
Clients cannot change channel. (because of missing TS?)

I`m a happy bastard :)

I have the same problem with a TT-1500 dvb-c budget. With .17 driver channel scanning crashes, with older drivers channel scaning works but the same problem with detection as analog card after some time and the stutter sound problem occurs. With a analog mce 150 card all works fine.

TV Server Daily Builds
- 0000842: Changes are not saved when editing a tvchannel

Upgraded all computers this morning with latest build/svn of MP and TV-engine.
Then tried to edit TV2 because of black video/stutter sound.
According to Lyngsat homepage TV2 is Horizontal. Tried editing this in TV-setup, but
it wouldnt save my changes. I realise the satelitehead needs to be turned to get it right, but tv-setup didnt save my changes anyway.

- 0000853: dvb epg is not grabbed.

I can see in tv-setup its "Grabbing", but nothing is shown in tv-guide.
(did I miss some setting here?)

Updated today with latest svn and TV-server/client.
Still it wont play all channels (rescanned all channels again) and zapping is slow.

Which firmware for FloppyDTV-S is best btw?

Try setting the diseqc to SimpleA and then rescan the channels.
I would recommend latest firmware & driver for the floppydtv-s
