Synopsis::

Recording any program on any channel more than once for instance using "Every day at the same time" fails to start recording if scheduled for 11:00pm to 12:00am. If I schedule the same program but choose record once everything works fine. Choosing multiple record times like described above also works fine for any other time for instance 12:00pm to 1:00pm. This only occurs if scheduled for 11:00pm to 12:00am and also only if multiple episodes or record times/dates are chosen.

Please HELP!
This is a GREAT program. If only I can sort out this annoying problem...

Regards
Stef

I forgot to mention there is nothing in the logs. Not a single entry for the 11:00pm to 12:00am timeslot.

Can I switch on debug logging to help get to the root of the problem?

I also have a similar problem. I have scheduled the recording for monday to friday from 16:00 to 18:30, but it never starts. When the time to start comes, the scheduled recording just gets removed from the future recordings list and nothing gets recorded. Is this a known bug in MP?

Thanks,
OMA

As far as I've seen mine only does this when scheduled at 11:00pm to 12:00am.

I'm wondering if it might be caused by the fact that the recording in my case crosses the end of a day and the beginning of another. If this is correct then it should happen if you schedule 11:30pm to 1:00am for instance as well.

If I schedule it for another time like you mentioned mine works.

If someone please try and duplicate the problem? I was wondering if it might be my time-format. (aka the pm and am) I will try and switch to military style and see if it makes a difference.

    Hi,
I can confirm this issue with recording between 23:00 (11:00 pm) to 00:00 (12:00 am) failes as itbsjb describe.
Will upload logs (Monday) & move the thread to "bug" section.

Other times works fine here, no failure @ all, so that has to be something different.

    Regards
    Roy

    Hi Ronilse,

I glad you could duplicate the same problem. Now at least we know it is definately a bug. I see the Mantis bugtracker is online again. Will you take it further? (or should I log it there as well?)

    Regards
    Stef

    Hi, Stef

You need an account there to be able to report bugs, so I will add the needed logs & steps to reproduce it & then add it to Mantis.

    Hi, stef

Have moved this issue to the bug section, do you use the Power Scheduler Plugin?
I have a setup this night at 23:00 - 00:00 & one at 23:30 - 00:00 to check without the plugin & for capturing logs

    Regards
    Roy

    Hi,
    Tested with MP 0.2.0.0 + svn--09-10-2006--21-36-Rev10229
Scheduled 2 "Every day at the same time" recordings one @ 23:00 - 00:00 & one @ 23:30 - 00:00 without Power Scheduler (so if this is enabled or not doesn't mater) & both failed to start recording.
Nothing in the logs (attached) to tell whats causing this to fail, will test to see if it is the end time @ 00:00 that causes this & if other scheduled recordings @ this time fails.

    Regards
    Roy
