Multishortcut plugin to execute programs from home menu! (1 Viewer)

Just a quick question. Does this plugin only work with native supported remotes. I've tried it with Technotrend s2 remote, which is working okay in MP, but instead of native support it has it's own process plugin

So i can't get it to pass commands to software....

I have configured multishortcut to launch firefox.exe and it works fine except when i close firefox and returns to mediaportal and I whant to use firefox again the shortcut doesn´t work! Its like the program is still running but it doesn´t!
Anyone know how i can fix this??

@kiwijunglist : I suppose your WMP11 problem is the same as Sparrismanne ?

Not sure if it is the same.

The user Sparrismanne states that his problem is he can only launch firefox once then it stops working. He reckons it is not running in the background, but maybe he is mistaken.

I'll explain my problem again using 3 situations, (MP uses always on top = true)

1. Launch WMP using multishortcut (hide MP = True)
2. MP is minimised, and WMP loads to front
3. Play music etc.
4. Close WMP
5. MP now automatically maxmises and comes back to the top
6. If i go back to step 1. again everything works fine

2nd Situation

1. Launch WMP using multishortcut (hide MP = True)
2. MP is minimised, and WMP loads to front
3. Instead of closing WMP, i just double click on MP and then MP reloads (With WMP still in background)
4. Now when i choose WMP in MP nothing happens
5. If I close WMP (ie. minimise MP, close WMP, maximise MP) then i can now launch it again

3rd situation

1. MP is not currently running. I load up WMP
2. Then I load MP
3. If i try to use multishortcut to launch WMP then nothing happens
4. If I close WMP (ie. minimise MP, close WMP, maximise MP) then i can now launch it again

I know that firefox isn´t running when i try the second time. The shortcut only works the first time and then stops!

But if Firefoxs is running i have the same problem as you!

REV 1.3 :
- Fix bug discovered by Sparrismanne (hope will help kiwijunglist).
New :
- Add Restart MP for htpcfreak black TV Screen problem.
- Add stop what is played in MP (No need to stop before and could also help kiwijunglist).
- Add Restart MP Player.

There are rules for new features then please, take a look at updated doc.

The problem is that I closes firefox when i return to mediaportal and want to go back on the web it doesn´t work. Firefox was not open when I open it the second time.

What firefox plugin?? I searched the forum but didn´t find anything!

All this plugin does is launch an external program from within MP. It has nothing to do with remotes. If you want your remote to work with the external program then it requries an interface between the remote and the external program that is seperate from mediaportal.

Tried version 1.3 still has bug launching a program (WMP11) that is already running.

If I run WMP11 then load MP. When i launch WMP using multishortcut i briefly get to see WMP screen, then 1 sec later MP comes back over the top of it.
If i quit WMP11. then load MP I can launch as per expected behaviour.

(Note: I am using "Hide MP while executing = True")
