Music Now Playing... (1 Viewer)

First off, I've been pretty exited the past 24 hours setting up MP with StreamMP! I've shown my family, called friends and even had people over to check it out live! I'm a tech by trade and really love the fact that its configurable for me and smooth and beautiful for everyone else.

So here is my first question:

In the Music section, the view doesn't appear as the install option I chose. I've also tried all the view options and it never changes. The view I have is similiar to the "default layout" in the "Moving Pictures". I've added links to two photos to help explain what I'm seeing and what I think I should be seeing. Thanks for any advice!!

hehe...it will look like the Girl picture when you enter MyMusic Now Playing...

When you play a song you can make mediaportal automatically jump to the now playing screen like so:

1. Enter MediaPortal Configuration
2. Select Music
3. Select Misc Settings tab
4. From the Play Now Behaviour dropdown, select 'Now Playing (always)'

Alternatively you can invoke the skin menu on the side and select Now Playing.

Just remember to play a Cheryl Cole album, the fanart handler will be sure to scrape that one

Sorry for the late response but thanks for pointing out the menu on the side with the "Now Playing" option that I was completely over looking! I just thought it magically changed to the "Now Playing" shortly after the song started. Thanks again!

You can choose to do that in the MP Configuration:

Is it also possible to hide the "Music Now Playing" window ?


Dont like it showing up during the menu background music.
