I've got a new baswasapi.dll from the BASS guys, which is supporting WASAÜI Eventing.
I've enabled Eventing when WASAPI shared mode is used.
At least on my system the stuttering is gone.
Can you please test and let me know.

With the new basswasapi.dll and core.dll files the stuttering is still there in non-exclusive mode. The too fast playback as well when the default audio format is highter than 44KHz.
If I can test anything else for you please let me know.

Can you do me a favour and run the test for stuttering, using the "Bass engine" setting, instead of WASAPI.
Because running WASAPI in shared mode, via the mixer, should be the same as using the native BASS engine.

I haven't looked into the fast playback issue yet.

With the Bass engine there's no problem.
Is replacing the two DLLs really enough to get your changes become active?

use this one (explorer should show version 19) and Core.dll.

We will see a log output, when event driven mode is used.

Good news: The stuttering seems to be gone. Thank you and the team!
Now I only see the other reported problem with the fast playback.

Great to hear.
I will introduce a flag for enabling / disabling eventing.

Tried reproducing the "Too fast playback".
Changed my Sound card to 192khz and played a 44kz file, without any problems.

Maybe someone else can try as well to see, if it is a general error, which i simply can't reproduce.

i tried the newest build on my main computer (the one with the external line6 usb audio card). wasapi in exclusive mode works very good now. the crackle in the beginning of every song is gone. and i heard only one short stutter during one song. non-exclusive mode as well as asio mode however is stuttering a lot on my system. playback is slowed down in wasapi non-exclusive mode. in asio mode playback is normal.

The stutterting in ASIO and Shared mode could be a buffer issue. try playing with the buffer sizes.
