    Hi guys,

Am testing the 1.3.0. beta a bit and found a ASIO issue:

Something goes wrong when playing sample rates other then 44.1 kHz. The device is correctly set to the proper sampling rate, but it looks like resampling to 44.1 is being done first. The result is for example a 88.2 kHz file being played at twice the speed, and 48 kHz material sounding off-pitch.

Will add logs and brandnew testmachine setup in awhile.
I experience exactly the same behaviour

    Hey!

I really like to have WASAPI-support in MP for listening music. But I also like to watch my BD's via PDVD as axt. Player. So, is it bold to ask if you can build the next test-ver. based on that stuff, where it is possible to disable the internal BD-Playback?

    Greetings,
    Winnie

Work in progress features and their testing shouldn't be mixed up as it will make the verification process much more unreliable.

That I understand of course. Even I really cannot imagine, how, in this case, the disabling of the internal BD-Playback could affect in any way hwahrmann's WIP.

It would just have been nice to have support for bitperfect music BEFORE MP1.4 in some way, 'cause this fantastic piece of SW really deserves more than resampled 44.1kHz in the year 2013. And I suppose MP1.4 will be 2014?

So, let me ask different: Is it somehow possible to disable internal BD-playback WITHIN this build?

Real good job! Your new build runs almost perfect with ASIO and WASAPI. Tested with Windows 7, Windows 8 and Realtek HD Audio driver.

The MediaPortal crash on playlist end seems to be fixed. Also MyRadio playback works now. I even can play radio channels after music playback (not possible before with Pure Audio plugin).

    Problems I saw so far:
    - little stutter (estimated every 20 seconds) when WASAPI exclusive mode is disabled (independent from audio file format and buffer, crossfading and ReplayGain settings)
    - playback is running too fast when the sound device default format is set higher than "2 channel, 16 bit, 44100 Hz (CD quality)"

The build runs so well that I like to keep it for my productive system. I cannot live without ReplayGain and ASIO/WASAPI features!
Is there any chance to get your code official with MediaPortal 1.3.x?

I think it's doubtful that this would get into 1.3 as it seems like a major new feature / rework and these aren't allowed into the Release candidates (eg. 1.3RC1 which will be the next MP release) ... Also the original target is 1.4

    Thanks for testing.

    Do you have Visualizations enabled?

I'll try to see, if i can reproduce the stuttering in WASAPI non-exclusive mode.

What type of file are you playing, when it runs too fast? Is it only happening on ASIO / WASAPI or on all different types of playback?
Can you please post a log of this?

    Visualizations are disabled.
The too fast run is independent from file types (FLAC, MP3, AAC). And it only happens in non-exclusive mode. Please find the log file extract attached.
And I just have been seen another problem: When I play a music file and then close MediaPortal a terrible noise comes and MediaPortal crashes. If I start a playback in another module (e. g. TV) before closing there's no crash. Log file end is attached.

    Hi
    I did some SHORT tests.

    The setup:
    AMD HD5670 >> HDMI >> Receiver >> HDMI >> TV
    OS win 7 x64
    Driver CCC 13.1

    Issues I see:
    - When switching from regular MP3 to DTS/WAV file, a second of noise is there. After this it starts ok.
    - Stutter (as indicated above) if WASABI Exclusive mode is disabled. Only I have the stutter way more often.
    - Stuttered once with exclusive mode enabled. Could be a fluke.
    - End of playlist MP still crashes :( Screenshot and logs attached after crash.
