Artists contains Artist picture... Folder.jpg used in shared view not in DB view.

The attached screengrab shows the problem and where the disc should be listed correctly.....

Other attachment shows this needs a secondary sort to sort by album name

Don't name Album like Disc1 Disc2 etc... Make name - Album and in disc MP3 tag set 1 2 ...

That will only solve the disc 1 and disc 2 sort order. However all the various artist albums are in random order. eg now 22 is after now 80 etc and in the screenshots provided on previous posts you can see Euphoria listed before Clubland,which is incorrect

Ok! Let's try to figure it out.

Let's start with your music view settings.
When you go to Music window you see:
1. All Albums for All Artists and for All Album Artists in Artist order (Which is inconvenient but also does not make sense).
How to sort Album by Artist in this situation: Album - Alambra, Artist - Wagner and Album - Wing, Artist - Andrew? Wing then Alambra? Or better, as usual, by name, Alambra then Wing ...
2. Then you see all the discs for the selected album.
3. Then you see all the songs for the selected album and for the selected disc.
And when i try you view setting i have:

And as I understand it, what are you talking about the problem of sorting albums as in the screenshot?

If I understand the problem correctly, then I'll see where this sorting occurs, because At this stage, the following query works:

select * from tracks  group by strAlbum, strAlbumArtist  order by strAlbum asc

Thanks for the replies, I do appreciate you helping me with this.

If I sort by album name in your first suggestion, then the various artist albums will be all over the place and not grouped together.

If I first have an artist sort as per your cd bookshelf settings, it will first show me an artist list in MP. That isn't strictly like a bookshelf as you always see the albums on the shelf. I didn't want to have an artist list first when viewing in MP, I wanted just to see straight to albums, like on a cd bookshelf.

Yes, looks like it, that shows the albums for that artist are not alphabetical. Do you have any various artist albums you can scroll to in that same view?

Yes that shows the same issue, the various artist albums are in random order. If a secondary sort could be defined to sort them by album name that would be perfect!
