Thanks for the fast answer, I tried your version and created a new empty DB like you described. This time I just added 2 of my 200 Music Videos (all the work before is gone to trash, damn it) and now everything works fine, I'm now gonne add the other Videos and try again, but I'm optimistic that you fixed the problem. Thanks for your help, I give you feedback asap.

I have my videos named like:

acdc-anything_goes-x264-2009-srp.mkv
led_zeppelin-kashmir-xvid-1975-mv.avi
lil_wayne_ft_bobby_valentino-mrs_officer_bw_comfortable-dvdrip-x264-2008-dynasty.mkv

Unfortunately, the script won't recognize any of them.
Any suggestions?

Ok this should catch the first 2, the 3rd is always going to be a manual entry I think.

You will need to add a regex replacment, the regex is

\-(?:xvid|x264)\-\d{4}\-.*

You also try this one that will also handle the dvdrip part

(?:\-dvdrip)?\-(?:xvid|x264)\-\d{4}\-.*


Copy this and create a new entry in replacements.

make sure you match the check boxes and you will need to select a differnet tab and come back to check and reset the check boxes. There is a bug I have just discoved that write the entry with all checkboxes ticked..will fix for later releases.

Thanks for your effort! Unfortunately none of the two videos were found. It did find one named del_the_funky_homosapien-workin_it-dvdrip-xvid-2008-dynasty.avi though.
If that can be found, then del_tha_funkee_homosapien-catch_a_bad_one-vhsrip-x264-1993-cms_int.mkv would be pretty easy to get working too, by ignoring everything after the song name.

Ideas?

It's me again. I'm running Version .188. And I found the next problem. When I try to add songs from a band to the playlist, the playlist only contains the last band I selected. So I'm in the "band-view" I hope you know what I mean, and add the band "KoRn" to the playlist, after that I add the Band Limp Bizkit to Playlist. When I now enter the playlist only the videos of Limp Bizkit are in the playlist but not the videos I selected before.

Try unticking the clear playlist on loading/queueing - see attached screenshot (think the version you have has that option)

Hi Wat,

Right been though this list and attached is an ziped replacments import file (replacements-import.strrep)

From the string replacements screen chose import, select this file, click yes to delete the current string replacements. This will load the new replacements and should look like the attached image.

Now re-scan - this will not catch them all and could maybe get more with tweaking but should hit 90-95% of your files.

The details of the changes are

Disable replacements for HD, HDTV, 1080p and 1080i

Add the following regex replacements

Pre expession match:

Remove track numbers from the front of files (i.e 02-black_eyed_peas-meet_me_halfway.mkv)

^\d{2}\-

Post expression match:

Strip off most of the junk from filesnames such as

acdc-shoot_to_thrill-repack-proper-dvdrip-x264-2010-mv4u.mkv
alexandra_stan-get_back_(asap)-web-1080p-x264-2011-fray_int.mk

(?:\-dvdrip|-web-1080p|-web-720p|-convert|-proper-dvdrip|-proper|-proper-repack)?\-(?:xvid|x264)\-\d{4}\-.*

Lose everything from the first - (hypen) in the filename - this on it's own should have worked but the above improves things.

-*\-.*

There will also be files you have to set manually, i.e

02-katy_perry-ur_so_gay_bw_i_kissed_a_girl_(southside_2009).mkv

This gives a track of ur so gay bw i kissed a girl and fat chance of that parsing

and this

50_cent_ft_ne-yo-baby_by_me-dvdrip-x264-2009-dynasty.mkv

Gives a track of Yo as the features artist Ne-Yo confuses the issue.

mvCentral - 0.5.0.138 beta release

I have just uploaded version 0.5.0.193 to google code.

A lot of changes in this version, see the first post for full details.

Main changes

• Re-written artwork handling, can now use your own images for Artist, Album and Track.
• Updated Last.FM code with better error reporting
• Added Scrobbling support for Last.FM
• Enhanced info in OSD
• Many small fixes

As with all release while still in beta I would advise a phyiscal delete of the DB but you can try just an update as I have only been adding extra DB fields and not changing the structure. If you do have problem please delete the DB and re-scan before reporting issues.
