The 1.2 beta has arrived sooner then thought. We will have to think about doing a 1.2 compatibility fix for our current release.

I actually started working on making 2.6 compatible last week. Default and DefaultWide are basically working, but I had some some funny skin issues with them. At the moment I am doing a skin for Mustayaluca. I am also adding some performance tweaks for filmstrip/coverflow as well as some other various cleanups while I am in there.
Monochrome - as far as I can tell this won't be updated for MP 1.2
Other skins - I think they will be updated, but none of them were when I checked 2 days ago
So we will probably do a release once the default skins and Mustayaluca are done, and then do more as the other skins are completed.

I'm using Win7 x64, and also had the same problem with playing video with MP 1.2alpha.
I believe it was due to the customised font engine we were using for MA2.5.
This has been dropped for MA2.6 and it seems to be working fine using MP1.2beta now.
Not to push you guys, but how's the 2.6 getting along? MyAnime is the only plugin in my setup which is outdated at the moment.

Probably Mon/Tue next week for a basic release supporting the default skins.
Most likely StreamedMP and MediaStream in the subsequent release

Yes that would probably work, but it won't look too pretty.
Testing with StreamedMP you are probably better off doing the following
1. Taking a backup of the existing Anime2_*.xml files
2. Install MP 1.2beta
3. Install the 1.2beta version of StreamedMP
4. Copy the skins files from step 1
5. Copy the Anime2_Admin.xml skin file from DefaultWide to StreamedMP
Otherwise you could wait for a proper release
I have tried to get Monochrome and MediaStream working with the old skins but no luck so far. Does anyone know if there are plans to updates these for 1.2. Or if you have the old skins working with MP1.2 beta

The only supported skin in this release is DefaultWide
I recommend you only download this if you have already upgraded to MP1.2 beta.
Otherwise it might be better to wait for something that has been tested a bit more.

I have a feeling MediaStream won't be updated. There hasn't been an update in 1,5 years and without the correct mediastream.dll (which isn't included in the downloadable skin) it won't work on 1.1.x. I'm testing right now with Black Glass Nova. There's a lot of work for the skinner, basically only the main screen works. But I'm happy with it. At least I can watch anime again
