1) The series names are not in english, episodes names are in english. I used the quick setup guide, it did not detail anything about changing the default language. After import I found where the series/episode language option is and it was too late by then. How do I delete all the imports and start again so that the series and episode names are all in english? ALternatively, how do I get it to change all the titles/names to english?

The series language option you mentioned is used for naming of your groups.
It is also use at run-time to dynamically choose the language for series and episodes.

At the moment there is no way to rename all your groups, although there is in MA3.

Deleting your database file is the really the only way, just a little oversight there :sorry:

2) I am using MP 1.2.1.0 and StreamedMP 1.74 - Using the streamedmp basichome editor I see no option to add My Anime 2 to the home menu. How can I do this so that I do not have to go to the plugins?

Thanks and great work on the plugin.
Ram.

I can't view it here, but from memory you need to press the button which says something like "View All XML's", which is under the list of available plugins.
And then you select "Anime2_Main.xml"

OK, I will delete the database and start over again.

Thanks for the details on the menu, I see what needs to be done on that. Thanks for the information.

I got the Db reset and it has now loaded with english title names. Got the menu working too. Good result, however, the importer has only matched about 20% of my whole collection, the rest are all unrecognised. What I can see in My Anime is great, very clever and cool plugin, very well done on your work, it is impressive with the level of detail on the matched items.

With the unrecognised items I had much better luck when I had used MovingPictures and MP-TV Series, had only a handful of unmatched items first time round and then edited file names to get 100% match. The file names still retain all the details that allowed MovingPictures and MP-TV to do a 100% match across all my anime. Does My anime use the filename info too?

What can I do in MyAnime2 to get 100% match please?

Thanks
Ram

EDIT: I re-ran the import over and over and it slowly whittled through the files. I'm now at the point where it appears stuck on 15 of the files. A few of them it should find very easily: Akira, Afro Samurai and the sequel Resurrection, Fist of the north star, Grave of the fireflies, Patlabor, Vampire Hunter and etc.

I found your guide on the Wiki on how to setup unrecognised files: http://code.google.com/p/animeplugin2/wiki/Help_UnrecognizedFiles

Sorry, should have RTFM :)

Hello,

First let me say I love this plugin so much. I just have a couple of questions. I honestly did try search for a bit and could not find any information about these things, so I'm sorry to bother you as I'm sure the answers are simple and answered elsewhere.

1) My series don't seem to be getting all their episode info. I loaded 7 series, and double checked them in TVDB and they all have episode descriptions and images, but only a couple of series load the descriptions & images for each episode in the actual program. Is there a way to download the info that I'm not doing it correctly?

2) What does the yellow exclamation mark icon mean when I highlight some series? It appears in my upper left corner. I've just no clue.

Thank you, my version is v2.6.2.2 - MP 1.2

I just want to say that My Anime 2 is awesome! Makes my collection so much easier to manage ^^ I do have a problem, however...I can't seem to get utorrent to work. Everytime I click on "Test Connection" I get "Connection Failed". What are the settings am I supposed to enter? I've tried my computer's IP and also the WAN IP with port 30457 (port that I use for utorrent) It's allowed in Windows firewall and also in my router. I can download stuff using the utorrent client with no problems and I can login to the web UI uTorrent remote as well. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

No problems, we are a bit lacking in the FAQ area

Can you first check if you have set up your TvDB options. Turning on community recommendations usually works the best.

If that is correct, can you check that the series you expect to have episode images have a TvDB link.
You can either do this from the config screen or from within MP

It means you are missing one or more episodes.

Hi :)

MA2 should use exactly the same credentials as when you use the Web UI.
so if the link to your Web UI is like this

Code:
http://127.0.0.1:8080/gui/index.html

Your config should look like this. If this still doesn't work, you may be using an incompatible version of uTorrent.
I am using version 2.2.1

I'll have to try that, I seem to be stuck with it getting about 80% of my anime.

Did you have any luck with this?
Nope. I tried deleting the data base, and importing a bunch of times, but it was not including shows like Yu Yu Hakusho, Hell Girl, and xxxHOLIC (which I thought were pretty mainstream anime). Right now I'm trying the tips you just posted, I'll check back with an update.

Those tips will only help with getting data from TvDB, which is a separate process to getting data from AniDB.
If you have a lot of unrecognised files, it will be because the hash cannot be found on AniDB.

Are your releases for those series from sub groups listed on AniDB?
