Re: Rebuild of Fanart

Hi there,

I recently made a full re-install of MP.
Due to that, I reinstalled the Anime Plugin and copied the DB. Cover Art were downloaded via Import from the web servers (TVDB, MovieDB)
Unfortunately the Fanarts were not downloaded. Is there something else to be considered to re-trigger the Fanart dl?

Besides of the top first one, yes.

Somehow it started to dl some fanarts, but not all.
What i see now is also that fanarts from the moviedb aresignificantly reduced in resolution
Tvdb fanarts so far downloaded are ok

Have all your fanarts from the TvDB been downloaded?
Did you do a "Run Import"?

I don't do anything do the quality of the images downloaded.

Didn't continued the import, yet. I will give feedback on the import as soon as I re-triggered the Run-Import (though takes a while)

To the movie fanart, seems like the preview pics yyou are downloading for selection seems not to be updated.
I remember that I had some problems with new movies some while ago, where I had when going into the images - fanart selection scrren each backdrop twice. One in low res as in the preview and one either in high res or first in low res and after selection for the fanart set the backdrop has been downloaded in high res
I had there to manually disable the downloaded low res backdrops.
At this time I presumed an error on my side

I have exactly the same problem: The plugin doesn't find movie fanart automatically and when I try to add it manually, I only get the small ugly preview images. For series the plugin works fine. Maybe there was s.th. changed on the TMDb website & now the plugin can't find the correct images anymore. Can anyone confirm this?

Yeah I can confirm that fanart from the MovieDB is not working.
It is working in MA3, so I'll take a look to see how it got broken.

VERSION 2.6.2.3

FIXED: MovieDB fanart was only showing thumbs

Download

You will need to delete the following folder
C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Thumbs\AnimeThumbs\MovieDB

And then when you view the fanart, you should be able to download the proper image.

MovieDB Fanart is working now.
Unfortunately there seems a new glich in the build
New files in the library folders are not recognised and therefore not hashed and introduced in the DB

Woops I have deleted that version for now.
You should be able to install the previous version back instead.

I will investigate soon
