    Hi Iwerndly,

During the import session I had the issue that the plugin stops to incorporate series entries (whole series and episodes), although they disappear from the unrecognised files list
Even a restart of mp and a restart of the import did not resolve the problem and the files did not appear anymore; neither for a re-hash nor for an import. So the series itself and the episodes wre not recognised.
Also new files are not incorporated anymore.

I just try to check if this is happening again when I start from backup I made of the db yesterday (means I have to re-import a significant number of files)

May I propose to include some sort of consistency check function on the db?
As I discovered some time ago when I was manually checking the db, I found unreferenced files where the links between files, episodes and series were not established.

    Cheers,

Actually it should already do this, but it is obviously not working for you.

Any chance of you pm'ing me your database files and letting me know which files should appear but don't?

I do not have the original db anymore, as I found a way to circumvent the issue.
While disabling all additional data retrievals (i.e. d/l of all ep infos, no fanart, etc) I were able to get all series entries and eps entries first. rest was incorporated afterwards.

But I think, I managemed to re-create the issue with a backup of the db.

Just give me a PM for location or mail to drop the db

    Cheers,

PS: Seems like the AnimeSeriesID is not filled out for all series, while the eps are correctly identified

    Hashing Value -2147483648% ...?!

:p - This is where my import stuck - on one specific episode it comes alswasy to this value:

    Hashing -2147483648% ...

when removing this episode from the Storage - it says this also ... is there a way to remove this from - wherever this is stored?

I have with two files a similar issue

One was constantly re-hashed, the other showed a negative "%"-tage value.
But this was resolved when I deleted them.

As I had a system crash, I was assuming some corruption

    Cheers,

Did the files happen to be 0KB?

    Not in my case.

What I don't understand - where is the hash cached? I was thinking that it goes over the fields and checks if it was already done or not - does it help to remove it and do a "clean" before doing th import again? When I only renamed the file to avi_ so it is not recognised as movie anymore it still was coming up as first one to be hashed - and the systems blocks itself

    I really like this plugin!

I've been reluctant to use mediaportal before, since it hasn't really had any useful way to sort anime.

But I have two problems, both already mentioned (but without any sort of "universal fix").

    1. Just like yhoogi, the plugin doesn't show all series in the list. They have been hashed, and they don't show up in the unrecognized list. They just dissapear... Is there anyway to rehash certain files without direct manipulation to the database with some kind of db-editor? Or some other kind of re-check for files not in the list?
An interesting (?) thing to note, is that I've tried deleting the database starting from scratch, and different series are showing up every time I do this.

    2. 9 times out of ten, I get Other: Loginfailed, when the plugin is logging in to AniDB. I've checked the log, and I'm getting the "598: Unknown command"-error. Does anyone know why this occurs? Sometimes it just works, but mostly it doesn't.

The hashes are stored separately, in the FileHash table. The system scans the files on disk, looks if there's a FileHash record associated and hashes the file if there isn't one.
I don't think deleting the hashes in databases will help.

Could you tell me which file exactly is having this problem? I'll try to download it and see what happens when hashing the file.
