Re: AW: Re: AW: Re: My Anime 2

Ahhh - yes :) - I see - so basically - "ignore" just means that for his item there is no value. Maby using an Asterix or minus or simply emty the field instead of writng "igore" makes it better to understand. I think the way with the two parameters are good - is it possible to have a field showing the number of results depending on the current selection? Just to see that - ups - I have used a wrong paramater cause ther a no results anymore ...? But anyway - cool that you can define your own view.

Ah - one more thing - when do you need to use "Save" when you exit the config (than there would be a pop-up greta asking if you want to save it) or when you leave MP?

Indeed, 'ignore' might be somewhat confusing ... I'll change it to '-' I think.

I prefer Baka as you realy get only subs and all of them are english - the others are great too - but al these Raw's and non english translation makes it a little confusing.

I have also used Baka-Updates for years, I didn't even know so many others existed!

If you modify the current view the modifications will be saved in a temporary view, which is restored when restarting MediaPortal, your changes aren't lost. If you change from view though, unsaved changes to the previous view will be lost.
I will add a question to save the changes if you change view. Note that a '*' is added to the display name when there are unsaved changes.
EDIT: upon reviewing, I noticed some errors in the view's code, preventing the* from showing up. I fixed that for the next version.

And from me also a Merry Christmas to everybody!

I installed 2.1.2.4 using the .exe from Repository. As soon as I try to access Calendar options, nothing displays and Anime2 crashes - APP Crash with the message below. I am using the same aMPed skin files I did for ver 2.1.1.6 which worked pefectly. I haven't tried anything else, went back to 2.1.1.6!

Woops didn't realize you had released the amped skin.
I will make some modifications to the skin files and upload them here in a few hours.

Hi Leo - no I haven't released amped 3.1 officially yet. It is in final test mode with several users testing. So I went to check if the skin files supported ver 2.1.2.4 and got that crash! I did find anything on your site that says skin changes were required or what they were. Did I miss something?

BTW I was not using skin files from the plugin install.exe - I don't think you even have them yet. I am always making minor changes so I never sent you the final verision. Decided just to include the necessary anime media files with aMPed.

    Ah sorry about that.
I'll PM you a list of changes from 2.1.1.6 to 2.1.2.4.
I'll also send you a list of changes for 2.2.0.0 (out in a week or so probably)

Hi, I am pretty new to this plugin and MediaPortal, so I hope my questions are not something answered already.

Is there anyway to disable hashing of the files during import? I assume this is for matching the file with the fansub (which I don't really need since most of my files are not english fansub). I don't really want to hash TBs of files over a wireless connection :)

Also, is there anyway to move the "My Anime" option to the BasicHome screen on the streamedmp skin? Right now to access "My Anime" I need to either go into the "Plugins" screen or disable "BasicHome" so I can move "MyAnime" to the start screen.

    Thanks.

The hashes are used as the starting point to get the information. Do you have something else in mind?
AniDB is not just used for English subs though.

Also you can do the hashing on another machine if that makes it easier? I'll give you some instructions if needed (bit of fiddling required)

Go the MP config - Plugins, and right click on "My Anime"
There should be an option "Listed in Home"

I was thinking of an option for simple folder/file name parsing. It already know what the anime series are from the folder names, so I thought maybe there's an option to use the alphabetical order of the files inside the folder as the episode number.

It doesn't appear to the be same thing though. This method does put it in the homescreen if "Basic Homescreen" option in MediaPortal's General option is off. However, with it on, this is no longer shown.

Maybe this only happens with streamedmp skins? I haven't tried other skins yet so I can't verify. I like streamedmp's "basic" homescreen more than the "non-basic" homescreen, but if it's difficult to put "My Anime" into the basic homescreen I think I can live with the "non-basic" one.

    Thanks.

No we don't support file name parsing at the moment.
I'd suggest you try hashing a few files first to see if they can be found on AniDB.

Sorry I misunderstood. I'm not sure about using the basic home screen.

I see. I hope this will be something implemented in the future, as a lot of my files are either custom encode/rip or non-fansubbed, so they will not appear in AniDB.

    Thanks for the help.
