Hi, first post. Thanks for the great plugin. Yesterday I installed for the first time myanime 2.3.0.14 on mediaportal rc1 the plugin is amazing, imported all my anime in a short amount of time. Today I tried the calendar and I accidentally moved to april, the calendar was blank and it freezed. Now every time I enter myanime if I try to exit from it mediaportal freezes on the basic home screen(black glass skin). Is there any way to fix this issue without rebuilding all the database? Any way to log the error and post the result? Thanks in advance.

Yes if you could post your log files it might give an indication of the problem
MediaPortal.log as well as MyAnime.log

Not hashing some files?

I'm running 2.3.0.13, and I noticed that the "Run Import" has not been picking up the latest episodes in my One Piece folder. Specifically, it doesn't seem to be able to find episodes 264 and up from Kaizoku-Fansubs. That folder has 278 files (TV episodes + movies + specials) so it seems weird that it would suddenly stop working now. The files don't show up in the "Unrecognized Files" list and I don't see them going through the hasher queue. Other anime I've added recently have been detected and hashed just fine.

Also, I noticed that version 2.3.0.14 is reported as being available but it doesn't seem to be in the downloads section of the google code page. I hope I don't have to build it from source.

As always, thanks for the great plugin. :D

Missing files?

Hi,
First I would like to say thanks for an amazing plugin!

Now the messy part: To summarise, not all my anime is being displayed in the default "All" view or in the Manager in the config. I've run the import, it queued ~12000 files for hashing and completed with ~200 unrecognised (which is to be expected as some of the stuff wouldn't be on AniDB).

I can only count ~250 Groups/Series under Manager but the figure should be closer to 500 unique anime series. I can confirm that it did at least hash and recognise some of the missing anime as I just happen to be watching the screen at the time.
I had a look at the database file and found traces of the missing anime in the form of filenames and locations but they do not appear in the Manager or Unrecognised Files. I can only assume this is the case for everything that is missing.

This is the second time i've tried to rebuild the database only to encounter the exact same problem. Is there something I may be doing wrong?

I'm running Windows7 64bit, MediaPortal 1.1.0, and 2.3.0.13 of My Anime 2.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Again thanks for the amazing plugin- I just wish I could get it working :D

Have you tried doing a "Run Import" since then?
Could you attach your log file if this doesn't work.

Version 2.3.0.14 can be found on the MP download page

Usually what happens during a large import is that problems with occur connecting to AniDB at some stage, or you may get temporarily banned. Which results in missing entries.
However doing another "Run Import" is supposed to fill in any missing entries.
If you try this again and it still doesn't work we can arrange to take a look at your database and see if something else has happened.

Thanks for the reply! I had to run the import twice before even noticing new additions to the list but at least they are there! :D

Though I wonder how many more times I need to run the import before they are all in the list!

Thanks again! :D

i noticed sometimes it won't remove files from Ep's
like a have some files from SFW but i delete them and got SFW-Chihiro but it's says i still have the org SFW that i don't even have on my hard drive (it will lockup if you try to play the file and it wont remove it not from inside MP or from plugin config after you remove it and save open it back up and it's still inside the db i had to rebuild the DB to fix it took 5hrs to read all 9,892 eps 65% in 720p 10% 1080p (3.71TB used 8.22TB free + 24.3TB free on network drives i use this with utorrent and 277 RSS feeds to keep all my anime up to date and it rechecks every 15mins LOL)
i did NOT read all the pages before posting just about 80% of them

There is an option in the utilities window to "Remove records without a physical file"
if you delete files, you will need to run this after.

However it shouldn't lock up when a file doesn't exist. Mine doesn't do this, but I'll add some code to display an error message if you try.

thanks for the reply i found that and had to do a fresh install of win 7 i found i had a bad cluster on the HDD in my main system (right next to the database) this was a easy fix i just tossed the drive and got a pair of 128gb SSD and put them in raid 1
all my anime and video are on NAS on the network it's full gigabit cat 6 the works so it's about the same as a internal drive beats the hell out of USB it take a long time to run that import even if i run it on the sever it's clost to 20,000 files my Anime database is rock stable nowand it's almost 2GBs in size

my org ? is fixed and if you wana put a error code system in it might help you more with peoples ?
thanks agen for this SICK plugin
BTW anyone know how to build a web cache server ?

Sorry for the late response, I got caught up with some stuff at work. Anyhow, I have downloaded the latest version (2.3.0.14) and run import a few times now. Again, the hasher is picking up stuff except for One Piece. See the logs attached.

One weird thing I noticed in the MyAnime2.log is that it's getting the media info for some really old episodes of One Piece that have been around forever (eps 4, 5, 26, 7, and 6), instead of the episodes that it should be getting (eps 264-266). I don't know if that has anything to do with the problem. Thanks for your help.

what group are you getting them from if they don't update anidb with hash info and file info then My Anime 2 can't do anything
try looking up your eps on anidb i bet the group is not updating anidb

(if you re encode file for ipods and stuff you won't get them to auto add i had to redownload a few shows because i encoded them for my ipod toouch)

Any reason you want to build a web cache server? :)

Basically all it does is cache some details that users get from AniDB. This allows us to bypass some of the restrictions of AniDB and speed up the import process. It also stores the associations between AniDB and TvDB.

I can't see anything obvious in your logs. I am downloading ep 267 now, to see if I have any problems with it.
In the mean time can you check your version of MediaInfo.dll.
You may need to download a new version
