Another unrelated quick question:

Is it possible to point two different computers (on the same network obviously) to the same database file shared on the network? all my media is being accessed via network shares anyways, if I attempted this would I be in for some major data corruption or should this work. Right now each computer has it's own database, but it sometimes has discrepancies between what I have watched and not watched, and when I do complete reinstalls of mediaportal, I have to run the import on both computers which probably wastes a lot of anidb's resources doing double imports.

At the moment it is not really possible.
However at the moment we (and when i say we I mean mpiva) are working on a major database overhaul.

This rework has a few goals. One is to allow the user to use databases other than sqlite (such as sql server/mysql).
It will also begin support for sharing of the database between multiple clients.
We still have a few issues to resolve, but it should appear in one of the next releases (which is still quite far away)

If you have defined all of your shares as network shares it will probably make it a bit easier for you in the future.

AW: My Anime 2

Hi,

I have a problem
I installed the latest Disaster SVN Release and now MP crashes.
I don't see my series or episodes, the start screen is blank in the plugin.
I can navigate through the top menu and go to the utilities screen. There seems to be all normal. Import is working.
But shortly MP crashes or if i go back to the overview screen.

Befor I updated, I used MP RC1 and all was working fine.

The Error Log says:

Hi there!!

Can someone please tell me how to localize MyAnime2 into my language?

I'm new here.

Also, I'd like to know if MyAnime2 retrieves info from multilingual sources when it comes to thetvdb.

I know AniDB only contains info in English language and thetvdb is multilingual. Does MyAnime2 gathers info from AniDB like actors, directors, production staff and from thetvdb summary?

Hi,

recently, when I add a complete new series via drop folder, the plugin links the first episode two times.
Example:

I have redownloaded Stratos4 and copied it into the drop folder. Now I scan the folder and the plugin creates the series entry like normal, except it links the first episode double.

One with R:\Stratos4.....
and one with R:\\Stratos4.....

It happens only with the first episode and I can't delete either of them. I even deleted the whole entry and recreated it manually, but it links the first episode two times again; it doesn't "save" the fact, that I delete one filelink and hit save.

Well it's not that annoying, but strange that it only happens with the first episode. It doesn't happen for OVA's though. Coincidence?

Hi, I will need to test this out and see what is happening.
We are currently in the middle of some major re-work for the plugin though.
Is it possible to go back to the older version in the mean time?

For me it's no problem.
My main mediaportal is 1.0.2.
I just use the 1.1 svn to test stuff out.

Also noticed another thing, somewhat related to the problem with the fanart in episode view.
When setting a default fanart to a series (from within mediaportal), it's only set for the group, not the series (as shown in the Manager tab in plugin configuration). The field default fanart in the series properties remains empty, and causes the anime to not have a fanart in the episode view.
