Some others seem have this problem too ... did anyone find a solution for this?

Probably it's Windows7's fault - but this I don't beleive ... The account is working and it's trying to access the site (if not the error would take up to 10 Minutes to appear ... but it is displayed immediatly)

Is there a way of putting the complete string for conneting in one file (like http://user:password@api.anidb.net:9000) instead of putting it in the config?

when I change the pluginfiles (the two in plugins\windows) with version 2.0.9 it's working like a charme.

in 2.0.13 also when starting the import you only get the status "Scan" in "Import Progress" - in 2.0.9 you get "getting files for" and also in "AniDB Que "Last Message send ..."


Any ideas what has changed between 2.0.9 and 2.0.10 (this is the first version not working anymore ...)?

Yeah, I'll try to get the log up later. I'd done the above, I think. It still wouldn't pick up the files, they'd show under the unrecognized files section. That's why I was trying to add the episodes manually after i'd added the series and group.

I have created a help page for this sort of thing. Take a look to see if you are doing something along those lines

I observed that while hashing the files, it suddenly stops to retrieve data from AnimeDB (after ~600 files) as well as from all subsequent servers (TVDB & MiveDB) . It is still hashing but all these files are shown in the unrecognised list, then.
To overcome this blocking I have to restart the import

Could it be that the plugin stops to retrieve data in case an error message/denial is thrown out by the AnimeDB server?

Yes this also happens for me every now and then (and the restart fixes it)
I suspect it is a threading issue but haven't been able to solve it.

For some reason it never happens on my development PC which is quite fast, but happens a lot on my HTPC which is a lot slower.

No Prob - can you please give me instruction how to get a proper Log - the one cretaed in the ProgramData doesn't contain anything which is helpfull at all (non - not the mediaportal nor the Anime one)

I was also missing this file which results in the connection problem - copied it and - wow - suddenly its working and scanning and ...

If you're running Windows Vista or Windows 7, these files could have been redirected to the virtual store, in my case that's located at C:\Users\HTPC\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\log.

As I am currently re-establish my list:
I am not quite sure, as it is now a while ago when I established my former list, but could it be that the 2.13 is not retrieving automatically data from the MovieDB anymore?.

All entries so far are without fanart and have no MovieDB association, but the manual update is working.
Can somebody else also confirm this?


Also some suggestions for future releases:

I think a test butten in the config screen to check if login and password are ok would be handy. Would save time by switching back and forth between mp and mp-configuration.
Also I forgot first the ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.dll. Is there a legal issue or can it be included in the distribution?
If not maybe a link for download would be good (maybe from the config or on your first page of this thread where the downloads are located?).
I had some troubles in the beginning to remember that it is required and find it, so I guess I will not be the only one

Do you mean that it is not automatically searching MovieDB for associations?
If so I don't think this was ever the case, it only does this for TvDB (if the option is selected).

Images from MovieDB will automatically downloaded on a "Run Import" if you have the association there.

Thats what I was not quite sure of: I could not remember if I introduced the MovieDB association manually or if this was done automatic. Seems like I did it manually.

Cool - looking forward for Version 2.0.14 - Some things I'd love to have in Future releases:

As I have tons of series on my Disk ... would be great to have a view (like in My Videos) - with more items -

Another question I wanted to ask is. I have streamedMP skin installed. But is there a way to put My Anime in the home screen as the watch my movies etc. Streamedmp did come with a menu editor, but I can't seem to slelect my anime anywhere there..
