Quick question:
Is anybody here using JMM with MySQL Server on a Linux host? Can't get it running for weeks now. MySQL Version doesn't matter, Linux distro either. MySQL on a Windows host is no problem.
Also copying a Database created on a Windows host to a Linux host doesn't work, after the next restart JMM cant open the DB.

I dont know if Linux MySQL need a special tweak for that or what but i cant get it to work.

I'm a newbie with this plugin, so forgive me. Installed JMM server using SQLite. All seemed to work OK.
Installed My Anime 3.1.4 plugin, but this is the the thing, when I go to plugins in media portal configuration there is no MyAnime plugin showing. Even looking in the Team Media Portal program files directory I can see no windows or process plugins there for MyAnime.

Am I missing something obvious?

What version of MP do you have? Does it show any errors?

Hi, thanks lwerndly.

I'm using MP 1.2.3 on XP. No errors pop up during installation of the plugin. No errors show starting up MP or MP configuration.

Let me know if I can attach any logs which would be use.

These are the options I recommend on windows

Is there a multi-lingual option in the linux installer?

I extended my MySQL Config to only use UTF-8 (which should be Multilingual support), but that doesn't solved the problem.
All the Tables use Collation utf_general_ci and InnoDB as Database Engine.

Thank you so much the manual install did the trick and everything works now.

To answer your questions, I'm using XP annd checking the relevant plugin folder and skin folder nothing was there, despite the fact the installation appeared to work with no error messages.

Again thanks for helping me out so quickly, it looks great now it's running.

After letting scan run, has the hashing process changed from 2 to 3? The reason I ask is that I have about 300 files that refuse to be recognised now despite the crc32's and md5's matching the source perfectly, previous were recognised by myanime2 but myanime3 doesn't want to do it  for example, ao no exorcist 11v2, crc32 should be 4DA5A27D, checking with hashcalc: 4DA5A27D

I've tried rehashing and scanning to no success D:

EDIT: Got most of it to work after about 20 rehashes lol learnt that my dbz isn't corrept from 166 onwards :/ can't find a rehost either, pretty gutted.

Okay think best solution for me is to stick to SQLit as Databse backend and store it on my Fileserver so that every HTPC's and Desktop has access to it.

Is there the possibility to change the Path where the Database is stored?

JMM Desktop and MyAnime3 don't actually connect to the database, only JMM Server does.
Shouldn't really need to have it anywhere else other than the location of JMM Server.
