My Burner - now with Video DVD burning :) (1 Viewer)

Please advise.

I am trying to convert the DVR-MS file to MPG.

I am getting the following error DVR2MPG: Unable to create graph.

Please advise what am i doing wrong.

I am using 0.2.0.4 build.

Dvr-ms to mpeg doesn't seem to work in myburner anymore.
If you got a recording made with MP you can go to
myTV->recordings->compress and convert the file to mpeg.

If are familiar with SVN you can get latest version and use the VideoEditor for converting.
Or wait for the next stable release...

Hi I can confirm that the above works OK. However I have some dvr-ms files from before I update my entire MP setup and thus MP doesn't know about them in its database that I would like to convert and burn to DVD. Can anyone please advise on this is best done.

Maybe I just forgot one important thing here to mention:

if you are familiar with SVN you can get latest version and use the VideoEditor for converting every dvr-ms file on your pc.

If you don't like to use SVN-releases, please wait for the next stable release...

Is there a newer "beta" version of this plugin somewhere?
I looked in todays svn repository, but i guess the plugin is not in svn yet.
(I don't get a .iso file, so I wanna try some new code...)

Ok, I think I am real close to actually being able to burn a DVD here.
when I choose burn a dvd video it goes through all the motions and eventually
comes back and says that it is finnished.
but the DVD disk is blank. the temp folder contains what looks like a DVD waiting to happen.

The real problem as far as I can tell is that this plugin thinks my DVD burner is a CD burner.

when I do a disk info in this plugin it says recorder type is CDR
and media usable =false
and the sizes that it lists are for cd not dvd

I chose 3,0,0 for my lite-on DVD R/W drive
Note how it lists "removable CD-ROM" in the description.


If anyone can help me with this I would appreciate it.

I probably should have added to my post above that I can burn MP3 CD's, I have not tried a standard audio CD. The only problem I had with the MP3 CD is that it burned the folder structure to the CD, Example \shared\music\coolsong.mp3
That is minor tho.

Missing or invalid file

Running MediaPortal-svn--10-07-2006--01-00-Rev10864.exe

When I launch the MyBurner plugin I see a black screen with the error:
"Missing or invalid file:"


My log looks like this:

I was having trouble with the recent svn's and this plugin also.
I took a look at the code and found it would not compile with the latest SVN's.
Looks like something has changed in the way the log files are handled and this is where the error is coming from.

I commented out the offending lines and it compiles now and appears to work for me, If you want to test it I attached a zip file with the new myburner.dll in it.
replace the file in your mediaportal\plugins\windows folder with it.

I am sure logging is not working as it should but this may be a work around for some people until the plugin dev gets around to looking at this.

I am just learning C# to be able to make plugins for MP only know VB but I will post offending code here so maybe someone can look at it and correct it then I can re-compile if needed.

I also get warnings indicating that this method is now obsolete, here is the warning:

Warning 1 'MediaPortal.GUI.Library.Log.Write(string, params object[])' is obsolete: 'This method will disappear. Use one of the Info, Warn, Debug or Error variants instead.'


If anyone knows how to fix this let me know.
In the mean time I will see if I can figure out how this is supposed to work.
