The problem with the subtitle/audio delay is fixed in SVN. I have set the limit to 10000msec. This should be enough. I just forgot to increase the maximum value.

I also commited some changes to SVN which increases the speed of the external osd library. Now the additional cpu power is only if something is displayed by the library. Unfortunately I found a major bug during my test, which is also in the last test release. The OSD of the external library stops working if you change from/to fullscreen to/from windowed mode or resize the window. I don't know what it is happening there and I have to do more investigations on this problems.

I've Uploaded a new log, I've started in Debug mode and tried to configure the Volume, but nothing happens, The Volume OSD of Mplayer is Visible and i can see how Mplayer decreases the Volume frome 100% to 0%, but the sound doesn't going to be quiter.

Hi ercuem,
I had a look at your logs and I can't find any hint, why MP doesn't change the volume. The OSD message is displayed, because MP fires an event that the volume has changed and I only display the new volume. My plugin doesn't change the volume. On my machine the volume change is working perfect, so I have no clue what I happening there. :sorry:
If you start MP in windows mode and also open the mixer of Vista, you should see how the volume is changed. Perhaps it works if you remove all additional options that you entered in the configuration of the plugin.

Hi all,
I have realized the new stable version. When it is available, I will add the download link to the first post. You should use at least MP 0.2.3 RC3.
For more informations about the changes see the first post of this thread.

And as always if you encounter a bug please post a bugreport here. Include a log in your post so that I hopefully can reproduce the issue.
Feedback, improvement suggestions or anything else is also welcome.

All files on the main page are checked by the team and sometimes it takes a little bit longer until it is available. The reason for the new download link is that I changed the format to mpi and therefor the category of the plugin.

I think that it is always good to have an alternative. Personally I prefer the internal player of MP, but the internal player has also some problems.
IMHO the main problem of the internal player is the codec/filter problem (codec hell). Sure you can install ffdshow and other filters or even codec packs, but personally I'm always a little bit frustrated when I want to play a file and than have to find out that my htpc doesn't have a specific codec installed. And this is the main advantage of MPlayer. It comes with a lot of supported file formats and decoders. You could also increase the number of supported file formats and codecs, by using the installed codecs on your system, but in normal cases this isn't needed.
One of the other advantages is the playback of web streams in some situations. AFAIK the internal VMR9 player isn't designed for the playback of web streams and so it has no real caching strategy. On the other hand MP uses WMP for the playback of web streams, which I don't like.
MPlayer has also some disadvantages. Personally I think that the PQ of the internal player is better and seeking works like a charm etc.
So it is the choice of the user, which player he/she wants to use. The plugin gives you only the possibility to use a different player like the internal player. Also you can use it beside the internal player as a real alternative by just switching to a different gui plugin. Sure it would be better if MP would have a hierarchy of all players and tries to play a file based on this hierarchy with every player or if the user could change the player in MP directly. But this would require a major change in the core of MP, since the whole player factory/control is in the core. I hope this explains my motivation for this plugin.

First, thanks for this plugin, it looks work correctly, specialy with the rtsp web stream (I receive them from my ISP-box "freebox" ). A functionnality hopped by some french MP users.

I have a suggestion.
Is it possible for further version to include a playlist management in this plugin? Like the IPTV@UT plugin.
My freebox provide a playlist with all available streams, and it will be great to get its content directly in MP to avoid to have to enter the stream address with the keyboard.
