as far as i know that screenshot's from an old meedio plugin. i'd love to see that functionality in mp tho!

This is a very minor request, but I would like to see the progressbar in the "now playing screen" to move buoyant instead of moving in hacks. Could this be implented with the existing gfx engine?

I think the playlist functionality can be made much nore userfriendly.

I really liked the 3-column layout when it was implemented in Meedio. It made it very fast to locate music without scraficing visual appeal.

I am curious if we could figure out a way to also show the playlist on this screen-that way you can see the playlist while you are building it (is this what you are thinking Bram?). Perhaps replace the album image with the playlist when creating one or maybe a pop up?

btw- did everybody notce that Meedio went under? From their home page it looks like Yahoo bought them out.

I did suggest something like that earlier in this thread. Cant find it right now...

But a simple view where one side resembled todays regular browsing and the other was a "stack" of playlist entries where one could insert or remove titles.

I'm going to go along withe 3 column layout idea to, and being able to use the numerical keys on your remote to cycle through list would be great.
Hopefully some of these features can get into the next release of MP

In Meedio you simply tick a box in the importer to remove prefixes, such as ', The, A, etc and the prefixes are ignored by the alphanumerical sorting; that way The Who is listed under W but displays as The Who. Been using Meedio for years and it's been that way all that time. I'd love to see that functionality in MediaPortal. I'd also like to see an index view added (again, something that Meedio has done for all the time I've used it) so that I can make the Index view the top level while Navigating. e.g.

Artist view would be -

Index - list of numbers/letters or a screen of them would be better than a list.

List - list Artists beginning with the selected number/letter

Big Icons - Big Icons to show all the Albums by that Artist

List - List of the Tracks

Makes navigation quick and easy with a remote, and means you don't have to resort to the search function all the time.
