There is no reason why it shouldnt see them. Im going to ask all the obvious questions... you have re-scanned? You have added the watch folder and expression fine? do they show up on parsing test screen at all? Any errors?

....you have re-scanned?

Yep

do they show up on parsing test screen at all?

No - all music videos are in the same folder, and named the same. mp4 and flv files are fine.

Any errors?

None that show on the screen. I'll post the logs later if you want me to.

I've just tried renaming a recorded TV .ts file to "Akon - Sexy Chick.ts" (what a video that is! :D ) to see if the plugin would pick it up - then that would tell me that it didn't like the file made by VideoRedo. Unfortunately it didn't work - can't see it in the parsing test and "0 New files" when scanning....

You're only in Hamilton - you could drive to Pukekohe and fix this thing for me, haha :D

Went past twice on friday.:p

Ill look into it now... Ok I know now why its doing it.

A fix is quite easy.... Between this fix, and the rest, its probably ideal I hide all the stuff im working on for 0.5 and release a fix for 0.4 before continuing on.

Should be done in the next few hours, and then ill split the code into two versions so i can provide fixes. (yeah talking mainly to myself now....)

Update: OK, the fix is on google code site. Just a DLL update, I have tested this with every possible (I hope) version of the DB, and it seems to update evrything fine. The only instance where it might not, is if you have had a crash where the update script has half done things. I have implemented some controls to stop this happening again.

Not many fixes in this version, just DB update fixes, and some problems with two letter extensions, Also included in the package is the new Blue3Wide skin, thanks to Bleazle

:D I do it all the time while skinning - it's either- "yeah, that looks great!" or " damn, why can't I get that to work?!"

...Suffice to say should be some fixes this afternoon

Great - hopefully you'll save yourself a trip to Pukekohe :D

Hi All,

Am working on the new version which includes support for DVD Music Videos (concerts etc.)

Im having bugger all luck finding an online source for supplying info on Music DVD's. Ive looked into a gracenote service, but it seems a long complicated process, so at this early stage it will be a manual process to add a Music DVD.

Im planning to have access to individual tracks, and hopefully have them integrated into the playlist system seamlessly.

My thoughts are to only add support for local/network discs, as oppose to removable media (Actual dvd's) The reason for this is simply speed, and the fact you can (in most cases) only have one dvd in your HTPC at one time.

It will support both disc images, and copied discs (so isos, and Video_TS folders).

Images will be mounted as needed with Daemon Tools.

Importing will want cover art, a list of tracks, and someway to determine where the tracks are (I assume chapter numbers)

And you can play the entire DVD, or tracks, or DVD tracks and non DVD videos.

Any thoughts anyone? Suggestions? Etc...

This is a great idea and - at least for me - a much needed feature!

One remark: You should not necessarily assume that music DVDs consist exclusively of videos, since I would also want to use this feature to store all those extra DVDs that come with Deluxe Album editions (and which can also contain slideshows, infos, ...).

Apart from that: Thanks for this fantastic plugin!:D

Rekenaar, I know.... Ive been waiting till the core stuff stabled out before starting on it. Hope its going to be worth the wait for you :p

Imokles, Yeah absolutely. However im only going to catalogue the tracks, so they can be added to playlists. The rest will still be available, but rather than having those in the track listings, you can just play the dvd to get access to those features through the DVD's menu, does that work for you? Im assuming no one whos putting on some music videos will be wanting to listen to a Song then an interview, then a song, then a making of the video... (correct me if im wrong, and you want to catalogue everything on the dvd in the plugin itself....)
