However now MMV won't let me add new file extensions again (FLV), even though it is added in the main program.

Have the same issue. Try to add the extension .flv, but it wont keep it.

I resorted to manually adding the .flv extension to the database using sqlitebrowser. Perhaps somebody can raise a bug here Issues - mp-musicvids - Project Hosting on Google Code? (I would do but am not at home so can't list all of the steps to reproduce it).

Mine has recently started to crash mediaportal configuration everytime I try to do a scan.

I added some new vids and scanned and it started doing it every time so i deleted the new vids added and it still does the same.

Tried deleting database then rescanning but it still crashed as soon as it starts the scan so now I have no videos in database at all.
Tried deleting the plugin then adding a new one but it still crashes.

It was working perfectly the last time I added videos and scanned.

I was using RC3 when the problem started, I have since updated to 1.1 Final and tried adding a fresh plugin again but the same thing is happening.
No other changes have been made to my system by me in between it working and not working.

Is there an error log I can find somewhere that i can post up here?

Shangostar - the very same thing has just started to happen to me too. Never had this issue before

When I try a scan it crashes MePo config.

I cleared down my MePo logs folder and then started the config tool.

Three logs are created (config, TV Series and Music Videos) - I haven't bothered attaching the TV Series one (all it states is its starting)

I can't see anything that jumps out at me in the logs (see attached)

It doesn't happen on my parents system which is running an identical set up less my TV card.

Hi there,

I am trying to think what might have changed.

The importer does not crash every time.

If it perfectly matches everything then it works fine.
If it finds a close match and produces the options to chose from the list - then sometimes it works.
If it doesn't find a match at all then it errors

Although the above aren't always fully repeatable.

The only thing I have found is an error in the Windows Event Log - which is a generic type error:

By the looks of the error it is failing to connect to something - As its a web type request, maybe its failing to connect to a web server to locate lookup information (of artist/video) - when the website is unavailable or slow to respond - and the code is not correctly handling this (doesn't handle the exception)?

Or it could be a DB connection issue?

It does happen every time for me.

It also successfully parses all my videos on a parsing test so it's not anything to do with mismatching. At least not on my system.

It doesn't always crash at the same point though, each time the music vids log stops at a different point.
