Ah, I see your problem - the plugin as it stands does not like creating a DB under 1.2.

Have not got time to look tonight but as a work around I have attched is a blank DB, copy thing into the Database folder (..\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\database) you need to change the location of ffmpeg.exe and add watched folders.

maybe we can add a blank database to the actual patched plugin files? You've had to post blank database a few times now, as people are too lazy to read the thread.

This is a slightly differnet issue as it should create the DB ok. There are fair few things to sort out, I have a version under source control so will do a basic tidy up, include my fixes and get new version release as a MPE.

Time allowing should be about a week.

I have yet to get this to work with my set-up. No matter which computer I put it on, when in the configuration screen as soon as I select the plugin to open it's configuration, it crashes. Does this plugin not like centralized databases?

Can you please post your logs, ensure you have debug log level set in MP Configuration - zip up and attach to your post.

Here are the logs and yes it is a fresh install. I have never had this plugin working. I do have the blank DB and the working dll in place. As I said I have tried this on 3 of my 4 MP clients.

This is the same DB creation/acess issue as few posts back.

Ihave just tried the dll from post https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/mediaportal-plugins-47/my-music-videos-v0-41-a-68337/#post658320 (0.4.2.1), I deleted the DB (MusicVids.db3) and config run without issues.

Now I am running the current 1.2 SVN on this laptop, which should give me differnet issues but the config side seems fine.

Can you make sure you have this dll and delete your DB, I gather you use use a shared DB area - this should not be a problem provided only one system is connected during the inital scans.

I will play with it some more. but I have done A LOT of playing with this plugin. I have tried it on different PCs, tried it with a full MP setup (all my plugins and skins) and on a base MP only setup (no skins no plugins) I have tried it with the original dll, your dll, without a blank DB, with a blank DB, with skin files, without skin files and a variety of combos of these. I felt I have really run every battery of tests to identify the issue, but I am at a loss. That's why it took me so long to ask for help. I felt like the issue had to be my own personal problem. I did read about the issue in the previous posts, and thought "EUREKA! All I need is a blank DB". I was so sure that this would fix it, that you could hear my face fall from across the room when the plugin crashed again in config.

Like I said tho, I will keep playing with it. I tend to overlook simple stuff a lot, so I am sure the problem is still my own. Thank you very much for trying to help tho, Trevor =) much appreciation!

Hi,

Can understand your frustration, the good news is I can reproduce this but as the plug is currently in bits I will need to revert to an earlier version and install MP 1.1.2 to track.

In the meantime I have attached a verion of the dll (which should already have) and a new DB that I just created and imported 4 test videos into...will need to delete them.

Try these out and see if it works....It does cause a couple of DB errors in the log but does not produce the error you report - well here anyway.
