IMOON: Did you upload only the sources?
Tried it yesterday from the link and mp download section, but couldn´t find anything with the right look (.dll or such)

I found the .dll file (it is toward the bottom of the list in the zip file) you will need to delete the old .dll in the plugin folder since IMON changed the name to sudoku-mp-r0_4.dll

    Hello CodeMonkey,

I cant see (and reproduce) why the gui dont go back to the main menu.

You can try to list sudoku in the home menu instead of in the plugin menu. You can select this in the Setup menu under plugins.

You can download it from the MediaPortal homepage too, under Downloads/plugins/games .

mzemnia: Found it now without problems. Was probably too late that evening (and I was probably in the source subfolder).

IMOON: Yesterday I installed the new version and could not manage the easy level. Maybe it was too late yesterday night again. Some posts above I suggested a kids level, maybe you could add sth like that. This way I will have some success again with sudoku, too :)

It would be very interesting to have a 'on screen numeric keypad' because i'm using a gamepad to control MediaPortal and there is no way to put the numbers in the sudoku board...

Fidoboy: I will look into the source code of MP if I can use a modified virtual keyboard or something like that.

tomtom21000: This is no problem. Have you an idea how many numbers are usefull for a kids level. Perhaps I should also add a Button "Help Once" or something like that.

We have a Sudoku book for children which has different levels:

    Level 1: shown: 72/ to find: 9
    Level 2: shown: 63/to find: 18
    Level 3: shown: 55/ to find: 26
it also has level 4 to 6, but I think they are like normal levels?

The "help once" button is a very good idea :)

I've found a sudoku solver for my iPAQ which also uses these values and has a "hint" button ;-)
    Level 1: shown: 72/ to find: 9
    Level 2: shown: 63/to find: 18
    Level 3: shown: 55/ to find: 26
