Whoo...I have to resurrect this really old thread since I ran into the same issue on the current build (1.2.2.0) running on a Windows 7 Home Premuim 32Bit edition (fully patched and no Anti Virus software running). Sometimes MP took a really long time to start up or the TV ran out of sync. The mentioned WMI service was blocking one CPU core at almost 100% (well, CPU load of 50% but this means 100% on one core I think).
On the other hand I had some severe problems with sporadically blocky picture resulting from decryption of scrambled HD channels. On a first look this is much, much better now!!! Even the zapping times from scrambled HD channel to scramble HD channel seem to be improved.

    Weird and awesome...

  • About The Project

The vision of the MediaPortal project is to create a free open source media centre application, which supports all advanced media centre functions, and is accessible to all Windows users.

In reaching this goal we are working every day to make sure our software is one of the best.

  • Support MediaPortal!

The team works very hard to make sure the community is running the best HTPC-software. We give away MediaPortal for free but hosting and software is not for us.

Care to support our work with a few bucks? We'd really appreciate it!
