    Found a problem

    MP1.2.3 + Avalon Skin
Prior to using you .dll had a series with recent episodes and it is marked as new in the list with a new tag (just like in the banner list posted in the first post.
I copied the modified tvseries.dll file
I ran MP Config, and changed to Recently added and unwatched
Loaded mediaprotal, the series was still marked as new (because the episodes are both new and unwatched)
I toggled the watch button so all the episodes in the series were marked as watch
I went back to the main list of all the series and the banner still had the new tag on it
    I restarted mediaportal
I went into tv series and the banner is still marked as new, despite all the episodes being marked as watch.

    2nd Test

Ran MP Config, changed new episode marker to none
Ran MP, none of my series are marked as new as expected
Ran MP Config, changed new episode marker to Recently added unwatched episodes
Ran MP, my series with recently added episodes are marked as new, even if all the episodes are marked as watched.

I wonder if this is the problem, I have tvseries set to download data for every single episode for series that I have. Even though I don't have these episodes they are technically in the database and are still unwatched. I'm wondering if tvseries is seeing that I have unwatched episodes that I don't actually physically have and marking the series as NEW?

Californication, Breaking Bad, Falling Skies, Prisoners of War
Incorrectly marked as new, they contain recently added episodes, but all the recent episodes are watched

    Jerico
Contains recently added unwatched episodes, so is correctly marked as new

Shouldn't matter unless your displaying them as well? Do you have 'Show All Episodes' enabled?

kiwijunglist, when you toggled watched were you at the series level? I just did a test at the series level so that all episodes because watched and the 'New' image disappeared. Will play around some more.

I toggled watch at the episode level, so all the episodes were watched, but the series was still marked as new.

I have show all episodes enabled.

I will test at episode level...but

If you see Unwatched Count > 0 (depends on skin) which will be the case for you then it wont work. So you have two choices, either turn off 'Show All Episodes' or Disable 'Count Episodes in Future'.

I tested toggling at episode level and was OK for me so I guess its a choice for you to disable one or both of those other options.

You can continue to download all episode info, just not always display them in gui. Is that something you permanently enable?

    Damien,

Did a quick test and i keep having the 'NEW' label on the banner. I tried settings Watched status on episode & season level, but it's still there.
I also noticed that when i change Watched status inside TV Series plugin, it's not being changed in GUI. So when i set a season to UNwatched status in Config, start MP -> GUI shows the entire season as Watched :(

I have made a few small changes, shouldn't affect anything but just so we are all on the same page.

It's also a good idea to run atleast one import if you haven't already.

If you still have that problem HomeY, resend the log and will take a closer look at your problem.

With the first version you released (I had run an import):

I unclicked "Count episodes that have no air date or air in the future" and restarted mediaportal... the series with a recently added but watched episode is still marked as new. This is wrong, because it is recent but not unwatched, so shouldn't be marked as new.

I marked all as watched at the series level, and that series is no longer marked as new. This is good, because it has a recent episode, but that episode is watched.

I marked the recent episode as unwatched again in the episode level, but the series didn't switch back to being new. (It should be new as the recent episode is now marked as unwatched)

I'll test with the 2nd version...
