Hi mate.

Im using SABNzbd - love it!

Any chance of you and guy who develops My TV Series getting together and sorting out usenet intergration in My TV Series?

I love this plugin as standalone but it would make it so much more useful if it could be properly intergrated into my tv series as well!

You know, I was thinking about this. I think what I might do is just access the TV-Series database myself (read-only of course) from this plugin and just allow you to choose show/episode to search for. This is a little while off, though.

Same here! By the way: this currently still works with the plugin and SABnzbd+ 0.4.4! Other sites don't. When completely rewriting the plugin this info isn't of much use though

I've been working on this for the past few days and have come up with something that I think is actually pretty handy. The name has been changed to mpUsenet since it was a complete rewrite and no current skin file will support it. I figured it would be easier to just change the name then to have numerous reports of it not working because fo the skin file. Currently, it only supports SABnzbd (other clients will work, but you will have no control over them and get no status reports). The only sites supported are Newzbin and NZBMatrix. I will add the other sites back progressively, but I think these are probably the two most used. I've also written a class that will query your TV-Series database and allow you to download missing episodes.

The biggest issue right now is the fact that it's not threaded properly. This causes it to lock up for a few seconds while parsing the HTML or downloading an nzb. This is relatively easy to fix but it was quicker to write it like this to begin with. I've attached a screenshot below of the new layout. I can post a little test build tonight if a couple of you can let me know what skin you're using so I can get a skin together for you to test it with.

Cool, I use SABnzbd anyway. Looks nice.

I use Monochrome/Indigo/Mediastream/AeonWide depending on the day...I'll be happy to test with any of those.

I'm using a dedicated linux download/fileserver, so a setting to customize the nzb download directory would be perfect for me.

I don't know if this is possible, but I would like to suggest that you consider a scriptable scraper, something like what is used by Moving Pictures @ the moment. That would allow the community to assist with extending support for other sites as well as keeping the supported sites up to date. The reality is that all these sites change their layout from time to time and each such change will require an update to the plugin. If the original author is actively maintaining the plugin, this is not a big deal. But as we have seen, the original authors of plugins often take well deserved breaks from their creations. And few among us have both the ability and the available time to delve into plugin innards and fix it ourselves. I daresay however, that if the parsing rules were a little more exposed (as in a script) many community members (myself included) would be willingto get their hands dirty and keep things working.

An excellent point and I think very very doable at this point. I've switched everything to regex anyway so it would be extremely easy for me to make those external and compiled at runtime.

I know you've been waiting on a fix for a while! The nzb download directory is specified seperately - no more parsing of the sab config file. I wanted this to be as stable and straightforward as possible.
