Philster - I had to add the following comments to the mediaportal.xml file:

<section name="myblaster">
<entry name="forceport">2</entry>
</section>

make sure it's between the <profile> </profile> tags and not between another <section> </section> pair. Also backup your mediaportal.xml before you do so.

That suddenly allowed my blaster bud to start working. (If you haven't already done so, make sure the bud is plugged into port 2 on the back of the MCE receiver)

If you're using a foxtel set top box, don't worry about learning the commands - send me a p.m & I'll forward the blaster.dat file on to you.

Johnny Utah - Thanks for your quick response. I added the exact text as you suggested below, but mediaportal does not start up at all with those changes.

All the other etries have <section>, I think that was what it was complaining about.

Any other suggestions?

I am in New Zealand, our Sky set top boxes are Motorollas.

For some reason the forum software is removing parts of the pasted info, from my attempts and from Johnny Utah's post.

Check the quoted section of this thread for the correct syntax.

Cheers,
Smirnuff.
