Philster - I had to add the following comments to the mediaportal.xml file:
<section name="myblaster">
<entry name="forceport">2</entry>
</section>
make sure it's between the <profile> </profile> tags and not between another <section> </section> pair. Also backup your mediaportal.xml before you do so.
That suddenly allowed my blaster bud to start working. (If you haven't already done so, make sure the bud is plugged into port 2 on the back of the MCE receiver)
If you're using a foxtel set top box, don't worry about learning the commands - send me a p.m & I'll forward the blaster.dat file on to you.
