    kiwijunglist,

I was trying not to use iso's so I don't have to mount anything. Are you saying if I use iso's all my issues will be rectified? Maybe I'll have to conisder it again.

    Thanks

Well actually this link here is using .IFO files

Obviously the above posts are all kinda hacks/workarounds. If you look on the google code site for my tv series, you will see that proper support for dvd images is planned for a future release. Issue 133 - mptvseries - Ability to use a single ISO as target for mulitple episodes + loading of ISO's - Project Hosting on Google Code

OK, so do you think if I re-rip the season 1, it will show back up? Everything else hasn't worked yet. I will try re-ripping it then. Again, I really appreciate the help setting it up. I need to get this as WAF as possible, or she will refuse to use it.

    Thanks

I'm not sure what your doing wrong. As you can see there are multiple work arounds, as dvd images arn't officially supported yet. did you add the .ifo file extension to as a recognised video format?

Yes, and as I said, it does see the newest Season 2 that I ripped. In fact, it sees both of the ifo files, which is why I am getting duplicates for that episode. It was originally there and had duplicates for each episode, so from the Details tab I deleted the Series, at that point only the first season, and after that point, I haven't been able to see season 1 at all. I am at a loss.

click start, run type "cmd" and press enter
using dos window, navigate to the root folder for your tv series that is failing
    type "dir /s /b > list.txt"
copy + paste the results of list.txt

I am not saying that. However personally if i had to store my DVDs on my HDD, I would rip them to individual episodes. saving them as a .mkv file using h264 encoding.

Well the files are on my windows home server, so I will try and figure out how to grab those for you, since I can not use unc paths in the cmd tool. As soon as I figure it out, I will post the results back here.

Well the files are on my windows home server, so I will try and figure out how to grab those for you, since I can not use unc paths in the cmd tool. As soon as I figure it out, I will post the results back here.

You cannot change to a UNC path at a command prompt. However, you can use the pushd command to access a network path. If command extensions are enabled (this is the default in Windows 2000), the pushd command accepts network paths in addition to drive letters and paths. If you specify a network path, the pushd command creates a temporary drive letter that points to the network resource, and then changes the current drive and folder to the new drive letter. Temporary drive letters are allocated starting from Z and then backward through the alphabet, using the first unused drive letter found.

How to Use the PUSHD Command

To use the pushd command, type the following line at a command prompt, where uncpath is the UNC path for the network share that you want to use:

    pushd uncpath

For example, to connect to a share named Sharename on a server named Servername, type the following line, and then press ENTER:

    pushd \\servername\sharename

The pushd command creates a temporary drive letter that points to the network share, and then changes the command prompt to that drive letter.

You can use the pushd command several times in one session. This creates a list (or "stack") of folders. You can type pushd with no path name to view the current state of the stack.

How to Use the POPD Command

You can use the popd command to remove the top folder from the stack. The popd command returns you to the previous folder, and removes the temporary drive letter that was created by the pushd command.

The pushd and popd commands work together. The pushd command captures the name of the current folder. You can also add the name of a folder to which you want to change. For example, typing pushd \data1 switches you to the DATA1 folder, but remembers the name of the current folder. To return to this folder, type popd.

And your current problem is that season 1 is not detected and season 2 is detected twice?

Yes. Season 1 is not detected. When it was detected before I deleted it in the MYTV Configuration on the Details tab, all the episodes were there twices - one for each ifo file. I thought deleting it and changing how I was either naming it or ripping it would fix the duplicates, but after that it no longer would pull in as being available to be imported. Then I added one episode from season 2 to see if it would show up and it has. I haven't imported yet, because I was still having the dups there, but more importantly I didn't want to do something negative until I figure out why season one doesn't show up. Does that make sense?
