Did you rebuild your system? Windows+TVServer+MediaPortal etc?

YES! Cracked it! Despite the fact that my DotNet Framework 2.0 was intact enough to do almost every one of mediaportal's complex tasks there was some kind of fault with System.EnterpriseServices.Wrapper.dll "or one of it's dependencies".

Repaired DotNet 2.0SP1 in "Add/Remove Programs" and everything is working again!

I had trouble with getting miniepg to show too on clean Vista install. I'm using MSSQL 2005 SP2 Express.

I had to modify Gentle.config -files for mini-epg to show. Check this posts #4:
