myVideos & fanart on "IMDB" screen? (1 Viewer)

Hi Tgx,

I'm new to Black Glass but really like what you've done. Thanks for all the hard work!

I have one small question if I may. When viewing my movies using "myVideos", the correct movie fanart is displayed in all views (list, icon, filmstrip, etc) however, when I enter the "IMDB" submenu for any movie, the fanart is replaced with the generic "myvideos" backdrop.

I notice that your "DialogVideoInfo.xml" includes "<define>#useSelectedFanart:Yes</define>" so I assume that displaying fanart is the desired behaviour?

Is this something that used to work and has now stopped working or have I messed something up?

I've tested using MP 1.2.1 and the latest svn. I'm also using the latest Black Glass HD svn (1356) and Fanart Handler 2.3.0.522.

If you need any further information from me please just ask and sorry if this is something obvious.

it is do to fanart handler plugin bug , others users also report it , need to wait for cul8er to update fanart handler,
it's seamss he off line in the pass few weeks ...

Hi and congraturations for those great skins!

I just updated the two skins to latest svn, and I have this problem: with Black Glass SVN skin, in music section now I can't see scraped artist images (done with Fanart Handler). I only have standard wallpaper for all artist. The problem is only for the "wallpaper" images, all the other artis images (cd for example) are ok. Before the update everything was ok.

No problem, instead, with Black Glass Nova one. So, I think it should be a problem with Black Glass skin.

Can you check this? Thanks!

Uhm yesterday I updated it (build 1424 but I'm not sure....) but the problem was still present.
Today when I'll go home form work I'll update again and report exactly the build number.

It seems the Fanart Handler plugin is not automatically scraping new artists anymore. It only scrapes when in "playing now" screen. When the fanart image is already in the db, the fanart is displayed correctly in svn 1424. It's a bug of the Fanart Handler plugin.

EDIT: Yesterday there were some bugs in the fanart handler skin code of Black Glass HD and Black Glass Nova HD. Fixed in svn 1424.

Yes I saw that post before writing here, but I think it's a skin problem because:

- everything was ok
- i updated BG skin ang BG Nova skin
- i did not update Fanart Handler plugin
- everything is ok with BG Nova skin

Also, I don't have to scrape artist, I already downloaded them, so I should see them in music section; I didn't add other artists, so I can't check if scraper is ok or not.

Anyway I'll check againg this evening and report you!

I double checked.

If the fanart is in the db, it gets displayed.
If the fanart has to be scraped, it does not work, but it depends on the bug of the Fanart Handler plugin.

BG and BGN carry the same skin code for fanarts, so they have to work the same way with both the skins.
