MP DOES output HD audio when using BD handler so I'm quite sure that I'm already set up as you detailed. I'll verify this evening. Are there any logs I can share which will be helpful?
    Thanks again.

just to be sure the proper decoder and renderer are in use - have you had a look into graph stats (Shift+1 while bluray is playing back)?
maybe you also can post screenshot of it (make it with F11) here.

ahh ok, well that's good it removes a lot of potential reasons why it doesn't work. The only additional advice I can give would be to use Graph studio http://blog.monogram.sk/janos/tools/monogram-graphstudio/ to connect to the remote graph during playback, then you might be able to find out where in the chain you are losing the HD audio. It's similar to shift+1 , but gives slightly more info.

From what I know screenshot looks ok. Press f9 while playing to choose audio stream. Lav icon in system Tray also gives information. Graph studio might also give information as to what might be wrong

Please note that the top screenshot does NOT play HD audio while the bottom one DOES play HD audio (with BD handler). Perhaps the differences between the 2 can shed some light?
For example, one shows "MediaPortal BD Reader", the other shows "LAV Splitter Source", etc...
Both are playing the same audio and video streams.
