is there a 4:3 skin for this? the XML included with the download does not fit correctly on my screen.

No the one included is 16:9 and is probably very out of date. I am not very good at creating skin files, so if anyone would like to make a skin for this they are make than welcome to do so.

Okay I'm stupid and nub. I installed the plugin and the skin, but for whatever reason, the skin doesn't show up. It's all black. What did I do?

Be sure to check that the NetflixManager.xml file is in the directory of the skin you are using. For example, if you are using blueTwo the skin fil must be in the BlueTwo folder.

Hobbes, I checked and double checked it. I even re-downloaded it and put it in all skins folders twice just to make sure I did it. I'm using the default skin. I switched to different skins and none of them worked with the plugin either.

Are you using the lastest SVN? If so it does not work, also did you ever configure it?

Stupid questions to ask, but sometimes they may be overlooked

WatchNow search request

Hi Hobbes, very useful plug-in.

Would it be possible to add a second search, one for the WatchNow search (this has it's own URL, and should be simply a matter of cloaning the search code you use now and changing the URL)? This would make it much easier to find movies that can be played using MediaPortal.

Where is the WatchNow search? I haven't been able to find one at all.

Address for WatchNow search

If you do a search from the WatchNow tab, the search address is:
"http://www.netflix.com/WatchNowSearch?v1=SearchTerm&search_submit.x=0&search_submit.y=0&type=title&row=title&dtl=1"

This will pull up a list of WatchNow movies that match the SearchTerm. If there are none, it defaults to the standard search.

Nice plugin - I think it works great.

I just wanted to go back to an earlier point you made about the newer previews using flash movie format, so you can't play the preview with this plugin. Is this because of the flash part, or is it figuring out where the actual file is?

I may have found an answer on finding the source file (i.e. how to parse the .flv trailer location) here: http://www.hackingnetflix.com/2006/11/decoding_netfli.html

And if it's a matter of actually playing the flv files, then I see a number of potential answers in the MP forums, like
playing flv files in My Videos
or
the online video plugin

Just trying to help - I can't code, but I am more than happy to research. Especially since I'd like to see all the Netflix trailers work.

Any chance of updating the plugin for the latest svn versions? Seems to work fine before adding them, but whenI do I get error messages when entering configuration.
