Netflix plugin (NetflixAlpha) (2 Viewers)

Anyone wanting to test this plugin with all US content try this here.

I would love to see the source code to see if I could be of any assistance, I have been working on something quite big that would include this when finished (if I can get it finished). Always little problems that need big solutions.....!

Hi Tony.
Right now, player only wraps IE object which loads silverlight plugin from url that Netflix api returns.
I would like to know, whther you see this behavior when you open Netflix player in IE browser.
Please let me know.

I have seen other wierd behavior in win8 in this thread.
I will install win8 for tests and try to see what is happening.

Esc is not working right now, in case you use MCE remote, stop button should close player.

Thanks for the reply, and the tip about the Stop button. Fyi, when I run Netflix from a browser I do not get the same popup error. Any ideas about the "invisible" cursor when I try to use a mouse while a movie plays? Has anybody else seen this.

just wanted to let you know US user here (win7 mepo1.4). plugin works great. instant queue and search as expected. genre not as expected too. if there is any us testing to be done I can help.

There will be a new version quite soon.
Icluding mainly queue managment and caching (loading queues much faster once cached).
For genres, thats completely different storry. There is no way to fetch this information from Netflix, Iam preparing own webservice for that.
But that is in realy early stage.

Hi Tony.
Invisible cursor is sort of ... feature.
I can enable it, if you use it.
Iam using only MCE remote, so I had no use of cursor, I can put it back in next version.

As for popups, I already installed win8 but waiting to enable netflix account (issues with credit card) so i will get back to you as soon as I solve this.

There might be interesting to put together some kind of crawler which would get catalog from Netflix sites in Europe.
We can then put it through webservice and share it for others..
Friends in Europe would appriciate.

Sadly Netflix is not planning to enable API for Europe contries or any other (only US and CA).

Hey everyone... I modded MightyPolo's DefaultWide skin files so this will work for StreamedMP in full 1920x1080 resolution. Not sure if I did everything correctly, but it works on my computer. Files are attached. Just add to your StreamedMP skin folder.

Basicly that is what Netflix allows us to do.

To bad they didnt decided to offer api worldwide.

Would you make any use of "local" queue in witch you could save titles localy in plugin?

For some reason this plugin doesn't want to work with Windows 8.1 It takes me to the page that says "To watch instantly, you''ll need a computer that meets the following minimum requirements:" in Windows 8 it worked perfectly.
