Is it possible to watch Netflix in Media Portal and if so how well does it all work?

Ideally, I'd like it to start the Windows Store Netflix application, with a Netflix icon the same size as Movies/Series/TV :)

I think this could be possible by the "App Launcher" plugin: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/threads/applauncher.131116/#post-1140507. The icon is not on homepage though, but it's only one more step :)

Only question is if the Windows store apps can be started by an ".exe" path? I didn't look into this yet. Maybe this article is useful: http://windowsitpro.com/windows-8/opening-windows-8-apps-command-prompt-or-script

Was just trying to get a better WAF you see :)

I'll test it out this weekend. I did do a test install to run cmd.exe, but I haven't investigated how Windows Store apps are run. Will report back soon.

BTW, while I've got your attention, why is the "Playlist" option in every menu under Settings?!

This is an often discussed question :)

    My last answer on this:
This action is defined to appear everywhere. In settings it's confusing, I agree.
I already have thought to place it only in "home" or media views.

VLC has a browser add-on that allows you to start a video selected in your browser in VLC, you then can use its record button. Doesn't always work though, my guess is it won't on protected vids but it is the only thing I have found other than the excellent download capability of Online Videos when available.

If I understand correctly, your device is combination of DVB-C tuner, router and some web access to play the channels in PC web browser. You can sniff http comunication with the help of Wireshark or Fiddler to determine channel url which can be used to create IPTV channel in TV server. If the url is not static(changes dynamically)...
