    Short look into the video tells me my tin disappeard on the iron. So probably too hot. I did never get these nice bubbles of tin on my iron...

    YEAH! It works!!! Not yet mounted to the TV, but working in the basement! No resistor and elko so far, but still working. Used the clips now, which work fine. Tried soldering, that worked much better with the smaller iron, but I wasn't confident that its gonna work on all soldering points. So...will mount it tomorrow on the TV

    Thanks for all your help and input. Will try to add a video here when its done.

    From the hyperion wiki:
    • Horizontal #: The number of leds you have horizontally on the top and bottom. This excludes any corner leds. If you have less leds on the bottom then take note of the bottom gap setting.
    • Vertical #: The number of leds you have vertically on the sides. This excludes any corner leds.

    So, if I have 59 LEDs horizontal and 34 vertical, in hyperion config tool I set "LED in corners" to true and 58 horizontal and 33 vertical? Right?

    Yeah that's a bit confusing in HyperCon but should be "LED corners" enabled, I usually double check to see if the total leds is correct afterwards :)

    Did it wrong but noticed that the colours weren't on correct spots. Corrected now. I am a bit lost on colour calibration tho. Is there any good reading? Currently the colours are too bright (reduced saturation already) and the whole LEDs are too blinky (too fast). Against this too fast: would that be lowering update frequenzy on smoothing or overlap? Or both?

    Did it wrong but noticed that the colours weren't on correct spots. Corrected now. I am a bit lost on colour calibration tho. Is there any good reading??

    They have a few apps (not sure if they do iOS yet) to calibrate it in realtime as well which makes it easier, afterwards the settings aren't saved in the Hyperion config but can copy them over :)

    Currently the colours are too bright (reduced saturation already) and the whole LEDs are too blinky (too fast). Against this too fast: would that be lowering update frequenzy on smoothing or overlap? Or both?

    Would lower the update frequency first as 200ms is normally where you would want it at because any higher and you might notice lag, the APA102 leds are a bit faster than WS2812 from my sample config so would lower it in small steps.
    You can also try a lower rate (currently 1200000), it should be fine at that but some have it at 1000000.

    Sure, but how does hyperion work then compared to "led corners disabled". nothing comes to my mind why hyperion should behave different when led corners is enabled.
