Tried last nights build and for me (trying C+ tt-subs) the subs flashed by for a nano-second on and off. Pressing L didn't change anything. Still same language and "flashes" of text. Looked the same regardless if I timeshifted (which I gather isn't supposed to work so ... ;) ) or in a recorded stream.

L working here on live tv

I've just taken last nights svn (15994) and have dvbsubs on live tv on both DR1 and TV2.

On DR1 i can with L cycle trough different subtitle / teletetext options but only the dvbsubs are showing - but i'm not sure if they are actually broadcasts anything but the dvbsubs.

Same issues

I tried 15994: same issues as yesterday. No subtitles, nothing happens when I press the L key and MP hangs when I try to change TV channel.

Does subtitles work for anyone here?

I really need subtitles when I start using MP on my HTPC soon.

Did you read instructions from first page:

    -Install latest MP SVN version

    - Install latest TVE3 SVN version

    - Add
yes
under
in the MediaPortal.xml (can be found in the MediaPortal directory)

    - Add c:\useTsReader.txt (empty text file is enough)

I once had trouble with my windows hiding file extensions and I accidentally ended having useTsReader.txt.txt instead of useTsReader.txt on my harddisk.

I really need subtitles when I start using MP on my HTPC soon.
I bet many need them, and that's why subtitle support has been under development for a year or so (?). Things aren't going faster if someone reports he/she just needs them now.

Big thanks go to tourettes on his hard work making this actually happen (thought before MP would never get dvb-subtitles as many commercial products didn't even have them).

Remember to unregister old filters (ver 7 or earlier) by running these commands in the directory you stored/registered them:
    regsvr32 /u dvbsub2.ax
    regsvr32 /u tsreader.ax
tourettes guide recommended you to store the files in C:\DVBSUB (i believe it was)

Ok I have this working now, well "working" anyway :)
The DVB subs work like normal, the teletext subtitles flash on the screen for half a second and then dissapear.

Still better than nothing, just have to read real quick :)

The teletext works ok here, although font is small etc. but I guess this is in the todo list (font config etc).

More importantly MP crashes now a lot more often than before.

I get this in tsreader.log and 100's of them too :(
(This is just before it crashed.)

This is probable a stupid question, sorry if it has been answered before.

Can this filter work for North American Closed Captions?

If you are watching over DVB-T i doubt there are any teletext subtitles to see. The options you do see might be pages reserved for hard of hearing or might just be marked as subtitle pages for other reasons.

Could you perhaps upload a sample recording where this teletext behavior occurs? And if you could also include your log files when playing it back it would be great.
