Great job! Subs work perfectly and timing is fine :) Thank you so much for that very important feature!!!

Some minor problem is that I can't watch ts-clips in 'my video' if dvb-subs are in use. All other media formats are working fine, but if I try to start ts-video MP hangs. I made a test and renamed useTsReader.txt and those videos are working again (but dvb-subs not.. of course).

That's not bad thing, because I don't have many ts-clips and temporary renaming that file I can make them still work. I just wondered if that dvb-sub feature can be disabled in 'my videos', because it's not needed there?

Okay, im back from my conference now, and im taking a look at the problems discovered so far.

I figured out why the teletext subs were flashing for some of you guys. I had made a very simple mistake for the case when teletext magazines were transmitted serially ( all my samples had parallel mode ).

I have committed the fix to that issue, and will look into the remaining issues (instabilities etc) as soon as i have the time.(disclaimer: i haven't slept for about 20-30 hours (bad flight(s)...) so if i made some huge mistake in committing it or broke something else, please blame the jetlag :)

This bug might also have been causing some instability issues (it was passing garbage teletext pages to the SubtitleRenderer), but i will test all uploaded samples, because it sounded like there was also an issue with the teletext pin itself. If you have encountered problems and havent already uploaded a sample .ts file, please consider doing so.

I should probably get some sleep :)

I disagree - just because you don't need it there is not that nobody needs it.

Example. Besides the mediaportal box i have one running mythtv. All recordings there are ein .ts and i have mapped it as a drive on the mediaportal box and access the recodgins trough 'my videos'. I have also an external drive with a lot of recordings in .ts

majland, if you would be so kind to upload a couple of short samples recorded on your myth box to the ftp described in the first post, it would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Sorry.. I didn't realize that. So it can't be disabled. Do you have any trouble playing .ts in 'my videos' with dvb-sub enabled?

If I copy video from 'recorded tv' to 'my videos' that will work ok. It's just some downloaded test clips that hangs MP if dvb-subs are in use. I have to analyze what's difference between those ts-video contents.

Please upload those samples (if you havent already). Do they play correctly with TsReader but without DVBsubs? (because TsReader does not support multiple video streams in the .ts file).

When i test my changes, i do so in My Videos only, i dont have a tv tuner on my dev machine.

I loaded one ts-clip ("wont play in my videos with tsReader enabled.ts") that I can't play with tsReader. If I rename that 'c:\useTsReader.txt' to 'dontuseTsReader.txt' clip will play ok.

I have checked my filter graph now and in both of cases there is MediaPortal DVBSub2 filter in use. Differences in video pins:
-Without tsReader: .ts 'out'-pin is connected to 'mpeg-2 stream in'-pin at 'MPEG-2 Demultiplexer'. Video is then connected to my 'Cyberlink Video/SP Decoder (PDVD7)' and finally to VMR9. And that works ok.
-If I use tsReader: .ts 'video'-pin is connected directly to 'ts input''-pin at 'Cyberlink Demux' and that output cannot connect anywhere. That's must be why MP hangs... it can't build graph.

So that could be some trouble with my codecs and not really with MP, but I appreciate a lot if somebody still test that clip in 'my videos' with TsReader and DVBSubs enabled. I have tested it with Cyberlink PowerDVD7 and DScaler codecs.

Thats not what i was asking. If you DO use TsReader (ie have C:\usetsreader.txt) but DISABLE dvbsubtitles, does the file play then?

By disabling dvb subtitles i mean setting
no
or just deleting the entry from mediaportal.xml.

Ok.. I misunderstood totally :(. No it does not work if I disable dvbsubtitles (&tsReader is in use). So yes I realize now that, it has nothing to do with that subtitle filter. Other thing that I noticed now: some of my clips are HD's. TsReader can't handle them? I'm really sorry for bothering you and taking your time. I have to check my filter graphs... just still so newbie with these things.

    :sorry:

HD should work fine, however .ts files containing multiple video streams does not work. It doesnt have high priority since the TsWriter is not supposed to create files with multiple video streams.

Thats okay, but it would be best if you asked about TsReader in the relevant thread.
