AW: [New Plugin] Atmolight Process Plugin **Update 23.02.2010 V1.8**

    Hi gemx,

thank you so much for your time & effort you've put into this plugin, MP+AtmoLight+few additional CPU cost is just great.

Even the patched AtmoWin Version had been available, even before I noticed that I had that problem as well. Again: great! :)

I'd like to make 2 suggestions:

    1) a configurable time-span during which AtmoLight is active.
Something like: "Only activate AtmoLight between [time-begin] and [time-end]"
Reason: AtmoLight only looks good when it's getting darker, I don't even notice it being on during earlier daytime
    Benefit: save power and LED-life-time

Or at least a possibility to turn it on & off from within MP would be good. (I think doing so using shortcuts combined with Atmo-Win's cmd-Tools as a workaround would break the COM-Connection of your plugin, but I haven't tested yet.)

    2) possibility to use AtmoWin's internal "Live Mode" when MP doesn't play anything.
Something like: "On TV/Video/Recording playback stop: [Switch to AtmoWin....]"
That way the LEDs would adopt the color of MPs skin.

    Thanks for reading,
    regards,
    phe

+1 this would be a great addition to this plugin! :)

    Hi,
This might be a bit silly, but I can't get ur installer to work. I've got MediaPortalSetup_1.1.0_RC-1_rev25080 installed and when I want to install Atmolight V1.8_Patched_Core_RC1.mpe1 I get the error message, "This is a old format file. MpiInstaller will be used to install it!"
And that's it. What am I doing wrong?

    Cheers

    Hi Brantley,
I ran into this (with other plugins, too) as well.
Try installing the plugin using "Open with..." and then pointing to "MPInstaller.exe" (instead of "MpeInstaller.exe") in your MediaPortal directory.
    This should do it.

Anyone knows how to fix that up/down channel-swap-issue yet ?
I have 4 channels. 1 left, 1 right and 2 upper channels. However the upper channels obviously get their colour from the bottom of the screen. Tried several setting in Atmowin, but i was unable to solve that problem.

    Hi Farbian,

at home I've the same setup and the same issue.
I don't know why this is happening (and I'm pretty sure it used to work correctly in the beginning).
This seems to be related to not using one side, in our case the bottom.

Anyway, it may sound stupid, but to fix this I think you just have to swap the top- and bottom-zones in your AtmoWin config, i.e. "Anzahl Zonen oben: 0", "Anzahl Zonen unten: 2". This should make AtmoWin look at the top part of the screen to get its color information, which is what you want when using 2 light-strips at the top of your tv...

You might have to re-adjust the channel assignment afterwards.

    HTH,
