Hi...

Unfortunately i cant use the plugin with my dreambox but i really would like to use the channel changing feature in the normal tv-engine 2. Aaron who develops the IR-suite and the MCE-Replacement is trying to take this feature into his software but with no luck so far.

Can you (the developer) help him with som code, how changing channel on my Dreambox 500s??

Hi Tazman , u can use the Dreambox plus vlc located in https://www.team-mediaportal.com/files/Download/Plugins/EPGorTV/MyDreambox_Plus_VLC/
if you want only channels import & changing use the process plugin dll
Works marvelously

thanks for this greath plugin:
just a question: there's a way to turn on the dbox using only the ethernet cable? (some kind of wake on lan)
this wold be wery useful, cause all the other commands can be sent by mportal.
If not I guess I'll use MCE replacement + IR blaster.....

da dieses Plugin ja über VLC funktioniert, wollte ich dort ein etwas farbenfroheres Bild einstellen, leider werden diese dann nicht in MP übernommen!

MyDbox with WebEPG recording support

Hi,

I spent some time moving My DreamBox TV few steps forward (WebEPG recording , Dbox channel change)
The code is based on the great work of others.

What's new:

Support for scheduled DreamBox VLC stream recording based on WebEPG programs
(same like My TV)

EPG data is taken from WebEPG and not from DreamBox (can support more data
and include localized information)

How does it work:

Having MediaPortal WebEPG loaded, you can now select programs and mark them
for recording (same as you would do with My TV)

On recording time, this plugin will connect to DBox, set the recording
channel, and start recording - WebEPG channel name must match your DBox
channel name

The code is based on [TVDatabaseV21.db3] database for channels, programs,
recordings information


How to install:
Hopefully I copied all needed files in the attached zip... , I'll release the source code after mode debug.
Drop the files in its target directory
Set your WebEPG data:

1.Add channels on the TV Channel configuration screen - name the channel
as you have them in Dbox.

2. Use WebEPG-conf.exe to map the channel to your WebEPG grabber

3. Schedule a WebEPG update using the WebEPG grabber plugin

Start MediaPortal and open the My DremBox TV
If no crash ... have fun

Tested:
I tested the code on my DB 500 (Enigma 1) box
I use Media Portal 0.2.3

Todo:
xFace skin needs more work
Compile in Release mode

I tested it and it basically works with some issues
Recording works accordingly with webepg but if you abandon the plugin window during recording , recording is stopped, if you return to plugin window record re-starts
EPG data taken from WebEPG is a good idea but , would be possible to grab dbox epg and convert it to MP database?
It would be a quickest solution
Another issue already present in previous dboxtv versions is that TV is 4:3 , would be 16:9 possible?

..noticed another issue
dboxtv recordings are always stereo also with 5+1 programs previous plug version recordings were right
