New Tool: episodescanner - adds series and episodenumbers to your MP or 4TR EPG (1 Viewer)

Hey just wondered what this tool does over and above just setting tvserver: recording to use %series% %episode% in the tv recording title?

It says start seriessearch
Then next line end seriessearch

As a first-time user I've been using this since June... I'm not sure what you mean that it doesn't work and your log states:
Where's this "second" log you're trying to compare?

I have one more question.
Trying to record an episode called "homecoming" but it's named "homecoming (1)" on the tvdb.
So episodescanner doesn't recognize this.
Is there anyway to fix this? So it gets recognized...

I think adding 'homecoming' => 'homecoming (1)' to %episode_stubstitutions will do the trick.
Add this to config.txt and report to us ;-))

THE record already past. So not to test anymore. And manual rename is as simple as adjusting the config.
Is has to be automatic... That's the intention of the program isn't it?

I think you could add regular expressions to delete all strings that look like "(xyz)". Would that fit your needs? For example '\(*\)' => ''. I did not test this, but I think the regular expression would delete (1) as well as (123), (abc) or whatever... I hope this helps you...
