Yes. When you install the MP2-Client, you get also the "MP2-ClientLauncher" which is executed after install. It does the same as the MPTray for MP1: hit "green button" and MP2-Client starts up.

Thanks, that explains why WMC was starting.:)

Now, MP1 has a facility whereby you can disable the WMC services so that WMC no longer runs.

I will be installing MP1 on the same machine with WMC. Will MP1, buy default, disable WMC services?
    Is this a configuration option?
If it turns them off, I take it I can just restart them?
I saw somewhere that installing WMC will trash tuner associations with WMC. Is this true?
Any other considerations when installing MP1 with WMC? I had NO issues with WMC after installing/running MP2.
I need be able to switch back to WMC while I'm trying to get MP up and working!

You disable WMC in "MP Config", in the section "Additional 3rd party checks"; see this page:

Yes, you re-enable WMC services on the same panel in "MP Config".

Neither MP1 nor MP2 will affect the tuner definitions for WMC. But you must not allow MP to access the same tuners as WMC at the same time as WMC. So either define WMC to access (say) tuners A and B, and MP1/2 to access tuners C and D, or ensure that WMC and MP do not try to use the tuners simultaneously (for live TV or recordings).

MP1 uses the "MPTray" utility to cause the "green button" to start MP1 instead of WMC, but only one of them can be started that way; the other must be started using a mouse click. "MPTray" is controlled on the "Additional 3rd party checks" panel.
